We talked about it, but have made no decisions. In other words, I was not told to do it yet.MaxPC wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 12:24 am Nicely done. I am especially appreciative of your diligence and skills with wood. The butcher block is a stellar idea. Will there be under-cabinet illumination to help with countertop tasks? We had some installed and it certainly reduces the number of sliced finger incidents.

Re: Today ...
A friend of my middle boy invited him to a high school football game. His friend plays in the band, so he would have to wait till the end of the game to hang out a little bit.
When he got home afterwards, he informed me, "We lost 12 to 21." He doesn't go to that school. He was homeschooled and graduated last year, yet he seems to think he is "with" that school team. How fast he picks up affiliations. I didn't say anything, just observed it. He plans on going back, but his knowledge of football was so poor he did not even know what a field goal was. I asked him today if he wanted me to teach him about it all. He informed me he pretty much had it figured out.
We watched a movie a week ago about a guy who went blind and played high school football. During the game he texted me to let me know there were no blind players on either team.

He had fun. I guess I will just let it go and not say anything. If he goes a few more times, he will finally figure it all out.

Re: Today ...
Today .. physically exhausted. Took 2 deep naps.
i got my annual flu shot yesterday, that must be it. sore arm, tired.
talking my daughter thru a possible home purchase,
trying to convince my son+his wife to “sit tight” and NOT sell their home right now. (they’re not in a have-to place.)
lots of drama.

Re: Today ...
These "flu shots" like the covid shots are a perfect illustration of the cure being worse than the actual infection. We haven't done flu shots for years, since my wife continued to get sick each time she took it (because of work requirements).temporal1 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 8:03 pm Today .. physically exhausted. one January, i caught one flu after another, which led to bronchitis, even pneumonia. i’ve been taking them since.
overall, i guess ok.
one year i caught a terrible flu, in spite of the shot, it was reported they missed the mark on that year’s vaccine formula.
washing hands is our family’s #1 go-to cold+flu prevention method.
we began when the kids were in school. come home, walk in the door, wash hands. i think it helps.
when my son flew home, mid winter, to greet his new niece, i asked him to shower and put on clean clothes before seeing her.
he was happy to! great memories.
