Ya, Paul should know better. And besides he shouldn't be bragging like he was a bigger sinner than other sinners.

Actually, I have heard two converts competing with who was a worse sinner before they were saved.

Actually, if these are direct quotes, this isn't funny. The quote -

"God basically put Paul in the Bible to show us what not to do," said Osteen, his teeth radiating. "This Paul guy mopes around, calling himself wretched and a terrible sinner. What a downer! No wonder they be-headed the guy, he was probably making all the Romans depressed!"

I guesss he ripped 1 Cor 11:1 and many other scriptures out of the scripture. Paul wrote -

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Perhaps this is an example of 2 Timothy 4:2-4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” .

I would think there must be some pushback from someone on this. I will look see.
