Precisely. Well said. A comment I once overheard was along the lines: "We are not allowed to teach morality in schools." Yet somehow, three decades later, there is still morality being taught but it is based upon liberal aphorisms and talking points instead of the Constitution. School textbooks have given way to the current news cycle fads. Political "truths" have overtaken The Truth of our Salvation.
It is a crisis of forming young consciences in the respect for all life, not just for drag queens or climate change. If one wishes to preserve respect for all life, womb to tomb, one needs to do so beginning with the child.

Is that your argument for not regulating guns? If a regulation is not 100% effective it is not worth doing?
Do you feel the same way about say…prohibitions on abortion? Some people will still get abortions even if they are banned. So we might as well not regulate abortions?
Yes, I agree. The federal government should not since it is not part of the constitution. This should be regulated at the state level along with guns. I am glad we found something to agree on.
Owning a gun does not guarantee a death. Having an abortion does. There is a difference.
No, having the right to have an abortion doesn’t mean you will use that right any more than having the right to carry a gun means you will use that gun.
It just means that the choice is made by the woman and her doctor, not by the state. Just like the gun owner has the choice of whether or to to defend himself with deadly force rather than having the state make that decision for him.
If reducing death statistics was the highest goal of the state then we would should also ban heavy trucks and SUVs, reduce speed limits to 55, eliminate firearms from society, eliminate a lot of unhealthy foods, redesign our cities to be less car-dependent, mandate vaccines, and ban coal-fired power plants. Just like if reducing unwanted pregnancies was also an important goal then there are lots of things other than abortion that we can do to accomplish that as well.

You are forgetting the child. It has interest in this decision too. This is like a slave owner deciding if he wants to keep his slave alive.
You may see these things as similar. I do not. You are welcome to your opinion as I am mine.
Up to 50,000 people die every year in the US due to particulate pollution from coal fired power plants. Many of them innocent children. Should we ban the use of coal in this country? I would get behind that for a lot of reasons. There is no constitutional right for coal mining companies to earn a profit by polluting the air is there? https://www.scientificamerican.com/arti ... very-year/
This country is the furthest thing from a having a consistent philosophy of respecting and protecting life.

The power plant owner is not intentionally targeting a specific person and killing them. A mother having an abortion is.
Regulations that reduce air pollution are a good thing. So are restrictions on abortion.

Two men who were allegedly plotting a mass shooting in Virginia are in the state illegally, with one of the men having been deported several times, according to authorities.
Richmond Chief of Police Gerald Smith said during a press conference Wednesday that “a hero citizen picked up the phone and overheard a conversation there was a mass shooting being planned here in the city of Richmond, Virginia,” according to NBC 12.
“There’s no telling how many lives this citizen hero saved from one phone call,” Smith said. “One phone call saved numerous lives on the Fourth of July.”
