Somebody wrote: ↑Mon Jun 20, 2022 7:36 pm I like your kitchen remodel, Robert. Looks very nice! The cookie sheet space is very convienent! I have mine in a tall skinny door. There had been a shelf in it and my husband took it out.
I considered putting a door on it, but thought it was too much work. We had 5" we had to sort out because the old cabinets and new premade did not fit just right. Still have the sink side to do. WE have a 10'+ run to redo on the other side. Got to wait to get more money set aside to do that. We have been bleeding money of late. Often happens with a new house, but this one was not maintained much by the past two residents, so a lot to catch up on.

Today .. SCOTUS overturned Roe v Wade.
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4820

My son+his wife are on a long flight headed for Chicago, to land about 1am, i think.
i texted them about the ruling and advised to be aware and to avoid madness.

i’m so looking forward to hearing all about their trip, and, hopefully, their drive home will be uneventful.

.. pray for peace.

Today I tried an eye patch over one eye to see if that would help me to read better. It did not. Got a massive floater in my right, super dominate eye. Makes reading very hard. Long posts are being almost ignored my me right now.

My niece and her husband asked me if I could help them. They tore up the fllor in their main bathroom and was unsure how to put things back together.

Helped them the past two days. It felt good to be useful and help them. We dropped new joyces in today and decked it. They can start with the new floor now. I should have taken a second picture of that. The old joyces had rot. We treated that and rebraced as needed. Found the small leak and all should go well. I am quite tired, but it really felt good to help some people who were working just as hard as I was to fix it all. Her husband is a hard worker. I am really glad we got this time. I have not been around him much and now we got to know each other.

Any improvement? Can anything be done?

Today .. i’m reminded of the uncertainty of earthly life.

This evening a couple of ladies who are members of a Hispanic church brought us flowers and prayed for us. They don't want us to feel alone, and told us to let them know if there is anything the church can do for us. Today that translated into a promise to bring a request to the men of the church to replace the eaves on a building where the squirrels have torn the wood away to live in the attic; and one's husband, to repair my lawnmower. This past weekend, the church guys landscaped our whole property, which took two days.

The two sisters in Christ have a burden for bringing people to the Lord. One, who was saved as an adult out of a life of sin, made a curious remark. She wished that she could have served the Lord all her life as a single, too. But she has three children, and that is now part of her ministry, along with working with the children in the church.

I wasn't dry-eyed for the discussion. This is God's love.

Clever idea, that cookie sheet pocket. My wife approves heartily. You are quite skilled in carpentry, Robert. Well done!

Loved this testimony. Both the good deeds part and the concern for the lost. I agree this is the fruit of God's love for others.
