healthcare = abortion
urologist = vasectomies
in 1976, in So Cal, my husband and i thought i might be pregnant. we’re not medical people. we went to the nearby Planned Parenthood clinic, tested positive, we were thrilled! the troubled staff began offering abortion .. looking at our happiness as tho we must be nuts. they didn’t say too much more, we left. i felt quite odd. i was young+innocent. we didn’t talk about it.
we found an obstetrician, who happened to have a big family, he encouraged us and we had a happy experience.
as a layperson, i don’t consider abortion to be part of women’s healthcare or family planning.
to me, those words amount to code, or double talk.
death is not health.
when my husband was given a diagnosis of terminal illness, we did not confuse it with health.
his “termination” was not the direct+planned result of hired hit men.
everything possible was done to help him live. until natural death.
healthcare is about protecting, promoting health, not fast-tracking death. efficiently, and for profit.
does that help?

https://tulsaworld.com/news/state-and-r ... rce=signupOKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Two abortion providers in Oklahoma said Tuesday that they’re still seeing a massive influx of women from Texas who want to terminate their pregnancies after Texas last year passed the most restrictive anti-abortion law in the U.S. in decades.
Officials with Trust Women and Planned Parenthood Great Plains, which both operate abortion clinics in Oklahoma City, said some women from Oklahoma are being forced to seek abortion services in other states because of two-week wait times for services in Oklahoma.
An Oklahoma abortion provider has released data showing an increase of 2,500% in patients from Texas ZIP codes because of that state’s Senate Bill 8 ban.
According to Planned Parenthood Great Plains, Texas residents are forced to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to access an abortion — if they can find the necessary resources to do so — or to carry pregnancies against their will.
More than half of Planned Parenthood’s Oklahoma centers’ patients since September are from Texas, compared to less than 10% the previous year in that time frame. Planned Parenthood health centers in Oklahoma saw a nearly 2,500% increase in abortion patients with Texas ZIP codes.
Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado and Missouri Planned Parenthood health centers collectively saw abortion patients increase nearly 800% since the Sept. 1-Dec. 31, 2020, period, according to the press release.
