It’s worth noting that a lot of browsers have machine translation built in and will automatically translate websites.
yeah well I like seeing both sides to see a glimmer of the real data.
I think that’s an admirable though difficult thing to do. From my own reading, it seems that Russian media is painting a completely different picture of the war to the point that Russians don’t believe their Ukrainian relatives when they tell them over the phone that they’re being bombed.
i not only believe this, isn’t this the expectation the West has for Russia? (and, not Russia, alone.)
sadly, the expectation of balanced news reporting in the West is diminished. (as Soloist is describing.) and as lots of discussion on this forum revolves around.

Is Trudeau 2022 such a distant memory? And, now, how he has appointed himself another term as PM?

and that's part of the point. From American news, Russia is committing horrible war crimes, is not advancing but is being soundly defeated at every step by the brave Ukraine soldiers. A few points fail to add up with some of these, the war crimes (I specifically have looked into) so far have amounted to them targeting Ukraine forces in civilian locations such as hospitals and schools, the stalled convoy that was sitting helpless before the Ukraine rocket launchers yet still is sitting there, a map shows significant territory control and the ability to project their weapons particularly missiles paints a different picture then a washed up military that is broke and falling to pieces.
At the same time, there is very little Russian information available leading me to believe while the US and Allies are exaggerating Russia's failures, Russia isn't doing particularly well with foot soldiers which would fit with known doctrine of war that the US military would expect in terms of occupying forces in a modern country.

thank you for inviting (us) to not be stupid.
what do you think about some opinions that (Zelensky+the Left West) want a protracted war/conflict? (of course, blamed on Putin).

There are a lot of maps out there. One of the most interesting is an open-sourced project that tracks multiple reports from both sides. Their three most current maps show the following:

First, that the Russians largely control just the highways and not the surrounding countryside because their heavy weaponry can't advance through the spring muds on soft ground and they lack the infantry forces to control large swaths of countryside on foot. Ukraine is a vast country and the Russians simply lack the forces and logistics to control large swaths of the country:

I'm sure you're not asking me but...

This is absolute nonsense. Anyone who thinks "Zelensky & the Left West" want a protracted war is drinking from a propaganda-tainted well. There is no rational reason Zelensky would wish for the ongoing destruction of his country and her people. And furthermore...if an end to the invasion does not occur quickly, where else would blame first lie but at the feet of the invader?

My WISH would be that you are correct. Unfortunately, human flaws, errors, missteps. MIC.
On Page 119 i posted a report/link that speaks to this possibility. Combined with real-time memories of Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc., i cannot dismiss out of hand.

About blame.
That’s just it. Isn’t this what “Just War” is based on? We had to do it? He made me do it?
Honestly, some might imagine the Left-West (quite prepared for war) laid the foundation for Putin to act, giving the West the ideal opportunity to respond violently and self-righteously. “Popular” opinion is huge.

You or i would not do this. (Lay a trap.)
But lots of people devote their lives to military strategy, it’s ‘way beyond me. i’m not even passing at chess.

When i was a teen, Vietnam days, i remember being horrified to watch (i think on 60 Minutes) - a report about how some have CAREERS of doing nothing other than designing weapons of all description, including chemical weapons, everything! That they get up everyday, go to work, say 9-5, and focus on how to kill and destroy (the world). i took it hard.

The report was not intended to be flashy, scary, dramatic. It horrified me how it was presented as “normal” “expected.”
It was like a business report. It just impacted me that these are careers, like accountants or factory managers, insurance salesmen.

So, i keep in mind, not everyone thinks alike. i pray for conversion of souls.

This is a long thread that I am not going to read and I am not going to debate (Proverbs 9:7-9). But for any reasonable people here who recognize that Putin was entirely justified in invading Ukraine and that Zelensky and the West are pure evil, I recommond watching this YouTube channel of someone who lives in Ukraine:

The Kyiv School of Economics estimates that the damage to Ukrainian infrastructure has cost $63 billion so far.

https://kse.ua/about-the-school/news/zb ... e-63-mlrd/
As of March 24, the damage caused to Ukraine’s infrastructure during the war has already reached $63 billion, or more than UAH 1,8 trillion.

Compared to the previous estimate published on March 17, taking into account the new data on damage, as well as improving the methodology and more accurate assessment of various objects, the condition of which can be better determined, net growth amounted to $3.5 billion.

This can be seen from the analysis carried out by the KSE Institute team (the analytical unit of Kyiv School of Economics) within the framework of the Russia will pay project and volunteers from partner organizations, in particular, from the Center for Economic Strategy and Prozorro.Sale.

Since the beginning of Russia’s military aggression on February 24, at least 4431 residential buildings, 92 factories/ warehouses, 378 institutions of secondary and higher education, 138 healthcare institutions, 12 airports, 7 thermal power plants/hydroelectric power plants have been damaged, destroyed or seized in Ukraine.

if the alternative is giving up part of your land? then yes. Otherwise I have no comment.

I think it is up to the Ukrainians to determine how much territory, autonomy, and control over the future trajectory of their country they want to give up in exchange for a temporary cessation of hostilities.

And yes, Putin is indeed to blame for every moment that Russian troops remain on Ukrainian soil. And every bit of death and destruction that results. No one else but Putin.
