Tell me Josh, are US-funded opposition parties able to freely operate in Russia?

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
I see a moral difference between:
1. Large numbers of Ukranians in the streets asking for their freedom.
2. Large numbers or Russians with tanks and missiles trying to take their freedom away.
I also doubt that the CIA would be capable of making the color revolutions happen. They involve large numbers of citizens standing up at great personal risk and speaking with clarity.

Any number of things could do it: If the war extends beyond Ukrainian borders; if China becomes more directly involved - throwing their lot in with Russia; if NATO forces are drawn into direct conflict; if Putin uses nuclear or chemical weapons inside or outside of Ukraine...all of these things could escalate what is currently a one country land-grab into a world-order defining conflict.Falco Underhill wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 5:07 pmWhat will it take for you to say we're finally "there?"
I do agree with Ken however....Putin's invasion has certainly united the west against him (and most of the Ukrainian people for that matter).

By freedom, you actually mean financial and military dependency on the west that has been sold to them as "freedom"Bootstrap wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 10:23 amI see a moral difference between:

If you're gonna deny US funding and involvement in color revolutions, you are either very intentionally blind or delusional.

Because Jesus often said, “unite against your enemies and annihilate them.”
Maybe Anabaptists are vulnerable to political blocs because of the importance of the brotherhood concept in scriptures??
Thing is, the world is the wrong brotherhood.

Comparing two wrong acts (similar in character, but hardly equivalent in scope) does not justify either of them.nett wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 8:39 amAh yes, and those seven children killed influenced by the Aug 28th drone strike in Afghanistan were experiencing the western equivalent of heaven on earth.ohio jones wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 10:32 pmThe transition from being influenced by the west to being controlled by Russia is basically hell.

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
Both the US and Russia have invested in Ukraine and Ukrainian institutions over the years. Just as both countries have done so across most of the planet. The US provides aid to over a hundred countries around the world. As does China and most other wealthy countries. But only one of them is carpet-bombing Ukrainian cities.nett wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 10:27 amBy freedom, you actually mean financial and military dependency on the west that has been sold to them as "freedom"Bootstrap wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 10:23 amI see a moral difference between:

Re: Russia Invades Ukraine 2022
rings oddly familiar, doesn’t it?
at this point, Zelensky is doing/saying whatever tickles the West’s itching ears. this is immediately picked up by propagandists.
i pray he doesn’t regret it. i feel sorry for him. between a rock and a hard place. in pictures, he’s aged a lot in 2 weeks.
2 Timothy 4:3

2Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and encourage with every form of patient instruction.
3For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears
they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.
4So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.…

To sum up mainstream western orthodoxy on the matter, as parroted by most here.
Arthur Ponsonby wrote:

- The enemy uses forbidden weapons.
- We suffer small losses, those of the enemy are enormous.
- Recognized artists and intellectuals back our cause.
- Our cause is sacred.
- All who doubt our propaganda are traitors.
