Re: Top ethnic foods that Americans crave most?
Went to France, tried some unappetizing food. Was some of the worst food I ever had. I think it was some intestine or something. Didn't find any dishes there that I thought was 10/10. I'd like to try some other French dishes though, I'm sure some are great. I like French onion soup, is that french?

Re: Top ethnic foods that Americans crave most?
I've had Ethiopian food at two restaurants, and it was delicious. At the second restaurant, my friend ordered a hamburger.
And in Cape Town, South Africa, with all the ethnic foods to pick from in the huge mall, my sister got KFC. I've never let her forget that.
There's a KFC in town here, and I've never been to it.

Our area could benefit from a good taco joint. Thankfully the food truck scene is picking up but only on the weekends.

Once my family went to Costa Rica and stayed with a family for a week. The family wanted to treat us, so they took us out to what they considered a fine (and expensive) restaurant - Pizza Hut.Joy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 10:35 pm I've had Ethiopian food at two restaurants, and it was delicious. That sounds pretty typical. I lived with a family in Costa Rica for a year - their idea of fancy or fine dinning was McDonald's or American-style pizza. Their everyday food though was/is delicious and just different enough from Honduran fare that I get to missing it from time to time.Josh wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 8:05 amOnce my family went to Costa Rica and stayed with a family for a week. Re: Top ethnic foods that Americans crave most?
I answered according to my own experience, which is not typical American.
(You were also "forced" to omit Brazilian, and I would never choose to just eat PA German food, which is mostly chicken, never Southern Fried, and noodles. Always noodles. And mashed potatoes with "burnt butter" dribbled all over it. I'd go for my own - Russian Mennonite - Pluma Moos, Cherry Moos, Verineke, Burox, and all kinds of other stuff that most of you have never heard of, and would probably not like anyway.)
