Coronavirus Outbreak

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

I was not aware there has been mandate protests all across the world of late.

Correct.
You are not aware, and substantial effort is made to accomplish that end. More+more as time goes by.

24/7 news cycles provide mind-numbing repetition of a few chosen topics. The lack of substance and variety is gasp-worthy to anyone who takes a moment to think it through. Regarding substance+variety, possibly 1-2 hours daily airtime would be more than sufficient.
Beyond that, it’s repetition, entertainment, speculation, opinion, gossip, political leveraging, etc. (Not news.)

There is a particularly gaping hole in international news, craziest of all in the U.S. is lack of coverage of Canada+Mexico.

Divide+conquer. Not, “inform+let the people decide.”

imho. (not a new opinion, but evermore glaring, post-internet, and 24/7 cycles.) there’s no excuse.

Officials tested each returning passenger three times in nearby Fiji, required that they be vaccinated, and put them in quarantine with additional testing when they arrived home.

It wasn’t enough.

More than half the passengers tested positive for the virus, which has now slipped out into the community and prompted the government to declare a state of disaster. An initial 36 positive cases from the flight had ballooned to 181 cases by Friday.

It appears that the most stringent efforts are no match for Covid.

I suppose this would qualify as a conspiracy theory. I have heard a few times that those testing kits made in China that somehow they could give people covid by the test themselves- sound ridiculous? Early on in all of this I had heard that getting tested often with those sticks up your nose is not a good thing-

Fact is, Christians who pray and seek God's truth often come to different conclusions. Not just false Christians, but people whose faith walk I trust.

Often, these are claims that can be tested against knowable facts.
Isn't that so disheartening for someone who truly wants to seek the truth about a matter to feel that are Abba Father, who knows our hearts, would allow them to be misled? As a Christian when we're struggling with something and we're seeking our Father's heart and Truth, wouldn't it tend to discourage a believer to have to accept they were indeed not guided into truth? Because at the beginning of all this there were so many speculations concerns doubts etc and people wanted to know what to believe and what to do

Yes my friend who I've been discussing that has been seeking truth about this has been watching this and gets frustrated that the average American people aren't aware of it.

I don't know this person and their track record regarding how accurate what God tells them comes to pass to know this was God behind this. There are so many today that give prophesies and/or words of knowledge that I believe are Christians but some of what they say God told them didn't come to pass, so then how do we receive what they say ? Some very respected Bible teachers have even dated Christ's return and were wrong. And yet folks continue to listen to them and what God is supposedly telling them. I do agree we do need the gift of discernment active in our gatherings.

Regarding being 'led astray' in the last days, I believe this often comes from the text where Jesus was asked about the end times (Mathew 24) and He said that many will come saying 'I am the Christ' and I think preterists would say that already occurred (is Gcdonner in the house ?). I don't hear this happening by 'many' today.
So what do you say to someone that you care about that you know that in the beginning of this pandemic really sought truth from God and prayed for truth about all this. Are they to believe that God misled them then if they weren't accurately connecting the dots and finding the right doctors that were expressing and exposing what they believe to be lies? Especially when they tell you that at this point there are now 17,000 doctors around the world that are united in this area of what she has come to believe by praying, so basically supporting what she believed early on-
I can't say for sure what I would do but I think I would ask her what she now believes God wants her to do with this information. I would think if God gave her some answer to her prayer about what is the truth of the matter, then God is expecting her to do something with this truth. Perhaps the next step to suggest, if she doesn't know what next to do, is pray again for direction on what God wants her to do with her belief.

I believe that millions of humans seek God's truth about all kinds of things and yet, for instance, we have many, many Christian groups all saying God is leading their group into truth yet it is often not the same truth as another group of believers. 17,000 doesn't sound to me like a very big number considering what the total number of 'renown physicans' there might be in this world but I really don't know. Any idea what this 17,000 is as a % of 'renown physicans' there are and firstly what qualifies one to be a 'renown physican' ? My human reasonings would seek more answers but I don't think I would go there.

Anyway, I wouldn't challenge her belief on answered prayer but rather encourage her to continue to pray for direction on what to do next with her understanding. Let God work it out and pray for her to know what she is to do next.
One thing I know she has been doing is informing as many people as she can with the information she gets. Another thing she has done was by a lot of the specific supplements that are meant to prevent and fight covid. One of them was manufactured by Dr zelenko who is the one that was nominated for a Nobel Peace prize due to the fact that none of his covid patients were hospitalized because of the treatments he gave them. He came out with a supplement called z-stack and she has bought a lot of it at $55 a bottle I guess you get a discount for buying 12 bottles at a time, and she will give them away, she gave one to us along with a lot of the other supplements when my husband was sick. This particular one by Dr Zelenko has the zinc, quercetin, vitamin c, and vitamin D3 which you take two out for prevention but if you get covid you take more while fighting it. She's a very proactive Christian and does see it her duty to help people with this information.

Keep in kind that Bootstrap’s “knowable facts” happen to coincide 100% with whatever CNN says is true

Well that is a large part of the problem. You have two groups of medical physicians whose faxes facts do not agree with each other. I think the fact that they are now 17,000 or so who are speaking up and forming a network of some kind I guess, have recognized that there is a lot of things that claim to be facts that are dismissing other facts

Right. The only “knowable facts” are Jesus and the Bible. Everything else is opinions.
