Good post!
I’ve been immersersed into a baptismal and also the didache style….
Which one in the didache?
pouring in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Pouring was reserved for exceptions, if you have read the Didache. Have you?
I have. Unless one takes the Didache as inspired scripture (which I don’t), then it doesn’t matter what mode you use. I already documented well what the mode of John’s baptism would have been.

The Didache also teaches to be baptised on certain days and to fast before baptism.

I was trying to ascertain if mennonitemom had read the Didache, and how she determined what the "Didache style" was.
So, I expect, Josh, that you now accept immersion as the biblical way of initiation?

I don’t think the Bible dictates things as specific as the mode via miqveh, Baptist style immersion, trine immersion, etc., just like I also don’t think it dictates what colour head coverings should be.

I agree, but it does amply demonstrate immersion, again and again. The term "mode" is a misnomer.

Yes and I’m physically disabled so that’s a pretty good exception

But none of them has anything to do with the initiation into Christianity which is misnamed "baptism". If you have been following this thread then you know by now that the very term "baptism" is a transliteration not a translation and if translated as it should have been we wouldn't even be having this discussion. It simply means immersion. Pretty simple really, don't you think?

Christians have been saying baptism for a very long time. They haven’t been saying immersion much at all.

I suppose you can go start the First Immersion Church and try to win some adherents; the gospel usually is not advanced by such quibbling over terminology.

I agree. I have poured in a nursing home before. 6 gallons of water got the lady pretty well immersed. I used a child's swimming pool for her to stand in while I poured over her in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Exceptions are expected, but some denominations have made the exceptions the rule. That is not acceptable in my opinion.
Blessings to you.

Christians have been saying it because of faulty translation. Does that excuse the mistake? There was a reason for the transliteration by the KJV, it supported their "mode".
