Breakfast .. sounds good again this year.

Amen and may God's mercy and grace overshadow you in the year(s) ahead.Robert wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 10:56 am It was actually last night. I man that my middle boy works for from time to time invited my youngest two to a New Years Party with his grandchildren. He just loves my middle boy and is quite sad we will be moving. He lives in he next town over.
They had such a good time. I told my wife that this is what we hoped to find in the town we are living and did not. I am quite happy they had such a positive experience with his grandkids. They are the type of children I want them to associate with but did not find here. I hope in our move to Texas, we will find some again.
The new year will bring many new experiences for us as we move. The reason for the move is multifold, but mostly I just want to find a place my two boys can be accepted for who they are and the limitations they have. Moving closer to my sister in law's family should help a lot They seem to get along with them and she has 3 special needs children also and really understands.
I hope 2022 heals my broken heart.
As a father to an adopted bi-racial son, and grandfather to 4 autistic children, I understand your concerns, Robert. May the Lord bless you as you continue to seek HIS will in the new year. May He grant you grace and peace that you may flourish where you are planted, in Jesus' name. AMENRobert wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 10:56 am It was actually last night. As long as there is life, we do not have the right to think there is no hope.Joy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 10:19 am I just received a letter from the inmate whom I'd referred to as a psychopath. He describes his life as an attempt to become a better person, but instead only got worse. He'd been taking Bible correspondence courses (I checked with the ministry on that one), and admitted he had a hard heart. So he prayed for God to unharden his heart, testing God along the way. Finally he decided to "let it rip and repent/ask for forgiveness, surrender to Jesus, and for the Holy Spirit to come in and guide me." He handed over all his porn to the chaplain through the bars, who tore it up. "It wasn't until the porn was gone that I realized how badly that stuff affected my thinking." He thanked me for never giving up on him for twenty years.
This is his account, in a four-page letter. I can't see his heart, but I pray that God has truly worked a miracle in him.
you give me hope for someone i love very much that i’m very worried about. it’s extremely painful to feel so helpless. it hasn’t yet been twenty years. it doesn’t involve prison or porn. but there are all sorts of sin and misery. along with refusal to let go of it.silentreader wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 10:34 amAs long as there is life, we do not have the right to think there is no hope.Joy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 10:19 am I just received a letter from the inmate whom I'd referred to as a psychopath. If he is a psychopath, it will be a daily struggle and it will be very hard for him to overcome the neural pathways in his brain. It literally takes an act of God to do that. I hope and pray this will be long lasting and not a momentary action, which is the trait of a psychopath.
you both, and other members here, probably know much more than i about these different conditions. i have read more than i ever would have predicted. it’s unpleasant, there are no solid answers, professionals admit they are not experts.Robert wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:33 amIf he is a psychopath, it will be a daily struggle and it will be very hard for him to overcome the neural pathways in his brain. Thank you, Robert, for pointing that out. I needed it. Although my own salvation was an act of God, as is always the case. A miracle. But point definitely taken.Robert wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:33 amIf he is a psychopath, it will be a daily struggle and it will be very hard for him to overcome the neural pathways in his brain.
