Back home and no broken bones or dented fenders.
Same for me, except we have no snow...
We got no snow here either, but do have a house under contract in Texas.
You are going to catch up with me on number of moves. We have topped out at 20 times in our married life, and Lord willing this move to TN is our last until we graduate to heaven.
Whereabouts in TX?
I don't know why, but I really don't like Texas. When we moved there for a second time, my husband pointed at the sign and I actually cried. I guess I really, really don't like it. I think it is the summer heat...brutal. I also like snow and Texas gets very little. Although, the day our oldest was born, there was "dusting" and I will never forget how cool that was.
But, I smiled when we left...for the second time.
The people are great though, at least where we were.
Hope you like it Robert and blessings on a safe and effecient move.

Moving to right outside of Palestine, TX. Right next to the Trinity River.
On the West Bank?
Yep.

I grew up in Texas. The cold is really cutting through me. I need the heat. One reason for the move back. My sister in law has about 2 years to live now. She is the one who just lost her husband to Covid related causes. We want to be close at hand to help her children also.
We are downsizing, which needs to happen. We will leave a lot of old junk and the oldest son when we move. That will help a lot too.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.
I hope I was not offensive Robert, as my post was not meant to be.
I am sorry to hear of your sister, and do hope the move serves you well.
We lived in East Texas for nearly a decade and like I said, the people were awesome.
It was early in our marriage though and I think part of it was a struggle for me being so very far from my family on the east coast.
Although, the heat was so intense...but interestingly, something I noted was the winters were amazing and it seemed to me that people really enjoyed being out and about in winter and then "hibernated" with the AC in the summer...kind of opposite of what I was used to.
I loved the homeschooling in Texas though...and I appreciated that verry much about the state. I can see winter cutting through anyone living up north...winter is intense.
Today I am wearing my gift of electric heated socks. Brand is IWARMU model PB-01.
They come with rechargeable batteries and are controlled via Bluetooth and an app on my phone.
Perfect for this freezing weather.
