Steve Kirsch posted a very comprehensive list of questions that need to be answered about vaccine safety. Of course basically none of them will. But I would look at this as an "everything you need to ask before getting the vaccine"

Vaccine Mandates a Slippery Slope towards the Surveillance State and Mark of the Beast

Re: Vaccine Mandates a Slippery Slope towards the Surveillance State and Mark of the Beast
Wow, for me it is so much simpler. 'God speak to me through the guide Jesus sent to guide me so I know in my spirit the way that I should go'. However, if one does not have the faith to believe the Holy Spirit will guide us, then we will have to rely on our limited brain power and/or the intelligence of other limited human thinking. Jesus said 'my sheep know my voice and they follow me'. Now He left us the Holy Spirit to guide us in following Christ. It is our choice to listen to Him or not.nett wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 12:02 pm Steve Kirsch posted a very comprehensive list of questions that need to be answered about vaccine safety. Do you believe the Holy Spirit guides us today even on matters such as this ?

I don’t believe the Holy Spirit tells different people different things. Thus I am sceptical of many “spirit led” people.Sudsy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 4:26 pmWow, for me it is so much simpler. What you are describing is bordering on gnosticism. I will not deny the logical, natural order of the physical world God created, in the name of "listening to the Holy Spirit"Sudsy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 4:26 pmWow, for me it is so much simpler. My mother is very much a “spirit led” sort of believer. However, her perspective is that the Holy Spirit has guided her into truth (for example) about the vaccine - it is very obvious to her that any Spirit led person would reject the vaccines because of the use of foetal stem cells.
Whilst I agree with her position, I would hesitate to say the Spirit can simultaneously tell someone else that they must get the vaccine in order to live their fellow man. That seems to me the same Spirit is telling two people two diametrically opposite things.

Yes, it would seem that one is not being Spirit lead in their guidance on this issue. Regardless, the Spirit was sent to guide us into truth and so it is up to each of us to know the Spirit's voice from all other voices. I think some believers think that because they have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them that what crosses their mind as the most logical must be the Holy Spirit speaking.Josh wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 5:34 pm My mother is very much a “spirit led” sort of believer. And then there is what is sometimes called 'group discernment'. However, especially among Anabaptists, groups continue to split off into their own discernment of what the Holy Spirit is saying. One says a Christian can do this and the other group says the diametrically opposite that no you can't and they establish a new group. And both might have their scriptures to back their position.
Personally, my guess is that few really seek what the Holy Spirit wants to say and/or they just don't want to wait for an answer. Or they have put their faith in some man and what that man believes.
Gnostic thought makes man wise in his own eyes seeking truth apart from God. Quite unlike a believer walking and being lead by the Holy Spirit. And I believe this walk is one step at a time. We are either locked arm in arm with the Spirit at a moment of the day or we are venturing off on our own. Thus the need for the Spirit to be our guide and also give us the enabling power to be a light in the darkness.
YMMV.

Anabaptists, I think, would vehemently disagree with this formulation. It's one of our sticking-points with the wider Evangelical and Pentecostal worlds.Sudsy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 4:35 pmBut we are only accountable for how He leads us, so, imo, what others think about how they are lead is between them and God.Josh wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 4:32 pmI don’t believe the Holy Spirit tells different people different things. At the same time, many Anabaptists operate under the spirit led model despite saying they don't. Very often 1 family will leave a church if its going liberal in their eyes despite affirming the brotherhood model.HondurasKeiser wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 9:55 amAnabaptists, I think, would vehemently disagree with this formulation. We know Democracy rule never works nor does a dictatorship and inherently the brotherhood model follows Democracy while a ultra conservative would be a mix of the two styles in someway. By dictatorship I'm using that term in place of a Bishop centric model / Brotherhood model.
Interposed in those two models are individuals.
The cost tends to be higher for someone leaving a Bishop centric church then a brotherhood model but the general reasons tend to be the individual believes there is some flaw in the group that justifies breaking ties with the authority model they accepted at one point and intrinsically tied in with this is either apostasy/apathy or a belief that you are being led by the spirit.

Here is a link that speaks somewhat of the different beliefs within Anabaptism on the Holy Spirit's work in Christians. And Anabaptist beliefs can be linked to in here to another link referred to as the "inner light" or "inner Word".HondurasKeiser wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 9:55 am Anabaptists, I think, would vehemently disagree with this formulation. Some fear that to live according to hearing the voice of the Spirit directly to each of us will result in many different understandings of the Christian experience and so lean more toward a 'community discernment' model. However, it is quite obvious that this model also results in various interpretations all thinking that their group has it best understood. We see this big time in the way Anabaptists define one another. I don't see where one 'trumps' the other but still leads to a lot of bickering on who is right.
