We still don’t really know where Covid vaccines are going to fall on that spectrum and/or how much difference there will be between the different vaccines and natural immunity.
Measles vaccine injects a dead measles virus so the immune system builds natural immunity permanently.

Influenza and Coronavirus both mutate at a fast rate and it makes it hard to get a vaccine that is permanent. It just tries to trick the immune system. That does not seem to work as well as the immune system actually dealing with the real virus. God's design over human design I would say. God's is much better. Natural immunity lasts very long, sometimes your entire lifetime.

Vaccine mandates have never been used to limit a person's access to public areas. It may be used to limit attendance to schools, but never before has one be limited to access of public space. Other vaccine mandates had a penalty of $5. The US government is trending on new untried grounds.

During a series of smallpox outbreaks across the United States from 1898 through 1903, many states authorized compulsory vaccination, while other leaders sought to use the power of public and private institutions to pressure reluctant Americans to accept the vaccine. A Chicago physician wrote in 1901 that “Vaccination should be the seal on the passport of entrance to the public schools, to the voters’ booth, to the box of the juryman, and to every position of duty, privilege, profit or honor in the gift of either the State or the Nation.”

Employers across the country acted to make smallpox immunity a condition of employment. Factories, mines, railroads and other industrial workplaces with tight quarters were particularly forceful in demanding proof of vaccination. In 1903, Maine’s government decreed that “no person be allowed to enter the employ of, or work in, a lumber camp who can not show a good vaccination scar. Though workers sometimes resisted, corporations and governments usually ensured that they took the vaccine in the end.

Social gatherings and clubs, too, sometimes required proof of vaccination in order to attend. When smallpox swept through Kansas City in 1921, one newspaper reported that “‘Show a scar’ has been officially adopted as the passwords to lodges and other meetings.” Public school leaders across the country also required students to present a “plain scar, the records of a school or a certificate by a reputable physician” in order to enter their institutions. Among others, the superintendent of the Savannah, Ga., school system in 1897 arranged for students to be provided with “admission cards” to their school once they provided proof of vaccination.

I posted this earlier. It was the vaccine mandate and quarantine that happened in Belleville PA at the start of WW2 that my mother lived through and remembered as a small child

I'd find it very hard to see that done today even though that is the best way to halt the spread of disease. Localized and specific. Honestly, if all international travel was shut down without exceptions and domestic travel was halted for 14 days, we would identify area's with outbreaks and focus a lockdown on those area's then open the other area's... This of course is assuming it could never have crossed species lines which it has at this point so its completely useless. Birds don't listen to laws. (humans don't either...)

Senator Ron Johnson has stated "We don't have an FDA-approved vaccine in the US. The VACClNO (Pfizer Comirnaty) available in Europe is approved, but the VACClNO (Pfizer BNT162b2) used in America has the use of emergency clearance only."

I checked out a Reuters "fact checking" article on FDA Approval of these drugs, which only seems (to me anyway) to confirm Senator Johnson's statement.

From the article -
Reuters reported on Aug. 23 that the FDA had granted full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for use in people aged 16 and older. It would be marketed under the name Comirnaty (here).

The FDA state that Comirnaty has the same formulation as the EUA-approved (Emergency Use Authorization) Pfizer vaccine and is interchangeable (here).
Reuters then provides a link to the original letter approving the vaccine which states:
On December 11, 2020, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use
Authorization (EUA)
for emergency use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID‑19 Vaccine for the
prevention of COVID-19 ...
https://www.fda.gov/media/150386/download

https://www.reuters.com/article/factche ... SL1N2PY0OL

So I think Senator Ron Johnson is correct that while the FDA has given these vaccines an "authorization" for emergency use, they have not been given an "FDA Approval." That seems to be a very important distinction to me (but one the Reuters article blurs by speaking of a "full approval" for an EUA.)

The safety and effectiveness of individual vaccines is normally determined after a period of experimentation that lasts for several years. Normally, experimentation is done on a voluntary basis and carried out on a limited number of subjects, who are paid to undergo it. Some experimentation has been done, yes, but the FDA "authorized" these drugs for emergency use knowing enough time had not passed to ensure the safety of these drugs in the long run.

That means that whole populations of countries are being used experimentally.

It is the same exact vaccine made in the same exact factories according to the same exact formula. The only difference is the name on the label. The FDA says they are the same thing.

The FDA gave their approval to the Comirnaty brand which is not available for use in the US. If the Pfizer vaccine is the same one, why didn't they give it their full Approval instead of just an emergency use authorization? Senator Johnson has asked the FDA that question and they have not yet provided an answer.

At any rate his statement remains accurate -- we still do not have a vaccine with FDA Approval for use here in the US.

And we stiil do not know whether these drugs are safe in the long run.

This is interesting:
New Label Effective: 10/29/21

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has received Emergency Use Authorization from FDA to provide a two-dose primary series to individuals 5 through 11 years of age.

This Vaccine Information Fact Sheet (which you can find here) contains information to help you understand the benefits and risks of the vaccine.

Talk to your child's vaccination provider if you have questions. The vaccine may not protect everyone.

EMERGENCY USE AUTHORIZATION INFORMATION

The emergency uses of the vaccine have not been approved or licensed by FDA, but have been authorized by FDA, under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to prevent Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID‑19) for use in individuals 5 years of age and older. The emergency uses are only authorized for the duration of the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use of the medical product under Section 564(b)(1) of the FD&C Act unless the declaration is terminated or authorization revoked sooner.

If I understand correctly, this was done by states and local governments, not federal and not all states and local governments.

One physician's opinion does not make federal policy, until now.

As I have stated before, the severity of the illness does matter. Smallpox was much more lethal then Covid is. Comparing it to smallpox is an unfair comparison, but the employers were not mandated by the federal government. This has never been done before.

This is incorrect. The process is different because the approved vaccine is susceptible to law suits and have to have much more checks then the EUA vaccines since they are immune to law suits. They are similar, but the process has differences.
