So the school:
#1. Tolerated a known cross dresser/pervert
#2. Allows a female student to get assaulted in the women’s bathroom by this pervert
#3. Has the student’s dad arrested when he comes to the school board meaning to complain about this
#4. Defends their “men are allowed in the women’s bathroom” policy, despite the fact they know a sexual assault recently happened like that.
I have no idea what the school and school district actually did and neither do you.
All I am saying is that a one-off example that may not actually be as described in the media should probably not be used as the basis for setting policy in a country of 300 million.
To use another example to make the point, we have had over 500 children die of Covid since the epidemic began and clinical trials have shown the Covid vaccines to be highly effective at preventing Covid in children. Should we, therefore, use these instances of childhood Covid deaths to set national policy and mandate the Covid vaccine for all children in the US? You are arguing for national policy around transgender bathroom use based on evidence that is orders of magnitude flimsier than that.

Following the logic being argued here and considering the epidemic of sexual abuse in churches, I suppose someone could also argue that we should ban churches in order to protect girls and boys from sexual abuse. Maybe we should clean our own houses first before we attack others.

It is really just an epidemic of sex abuse by males. Maybe we should really revisit the notion of male leadership of churches as that is the model seems to be failing our children. But yes, the point is the same. National policy that affects the rights of others is not something we should generally undertake based on a handful of distorted media stories and lots of unjustified fear and loathing. Sexual assault in the schools is always a bad thing. But I suspect if you made a comprehensive list of every single condition and circumstance that has lead to sexual assault in our schools you will find that transgender bathroom policy won’t make the top 100, or even the top 1000.

A juvenile court judge on Monday found sufficient evidence that a teen boy sexually assaulted a fellow student in a Loudoun County high school bathroom in May.
Democrat Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe called this a conspiracy theory.
Barack Obama said, “We don’t have time to be wasting on these phony trumped-up culture wars, this fake outrage that right-wing media peddles to juice their ratings.”
On May 28, a male ‘transgender’ student wore a skirt when he raped a 15-year-old girl in the girl’s bathroom at Stone Bridge High School. The school district’s policy allows male students to use the girl’s bathroom and vice versa.
According to reports, the same transgender student committed a SECOND sexual assault at another Loudoun County school after he was transferred out.
Not only did the school officials cover up the incidents to ‘prevent controversy over their transgender policy,’ but they also arrested and prosecuted the girl’s father after he tried to sound the alarm at a school board meeting.

Yes, we all know that is what the Gatewaypundit is reporting. And we also know that some aspects of that narrative have been debunked or are untrue. So this is probably not the right case upon which to base any changes in policy on a state-wide or national basis.

Well, you start off blowing smoke, because I doubt very much we "all" know it. Makes me wonder if even you know what you're talking about yourself.

What part of this has been debunked?
1. The quotes by Obama and McAulliffe are out of context and not in response to this article or event.
2. The events happened before the school district had any sort of “bathroom policy”
3. There is question about whether the student in question was a transgender student
4. The fact that the district and the police did not report the details of this incident publicly doesn’t mean there was a cover-up. It means there are laws restricting the public release of information about minor offenders regardless of the offense they are accused of. And, in any event it is not the role of school boards to release or withhold information. They are a public body that meets once a month or so to determine general policy and it isn’t their role to deal with day-to-day decision-making or releases of information. To imply otherwise is incorrect. That would be the role of the police or perhaps the district communications office.
5. None of this stuff is immediate. If your child happens to be accused of sexual assault we do not immediately toss them into juvenile detention and throw away the key without any investigation or process. In this case it seems that the two students knew each other and there were a lot of threads that needed to be investigated. I have no idea if the police did their job appropriately based on the evidence at hand, or if they dropped the ball. But neither do you. But to the extent that any institution dropped the ball here it seems that it was the police not the school board.
