Valerie:
.. It is not difficult to see why this works out well for an Amish family to choose that instead of going into other types of businesses.
The girls could stay home work with the puppies which they love doing from what I know, they make big money

because dogs have almost become an idol actually they probably are one of the idols in America.
It does not take the Amish long to figure out what the average Americans will pay big money for.
i doubt your observation could be overstated. the price of idol worship is high and will be felt for generations.

On one hand, i empathize with young peoples’ choices to have dogs, not babies. After all, “human reasoning.”
On the other, for many, i see it as the ultimate greed/self-indulgence. An ultimate result of the “me” culture.
It makes me want to apologize to the generations past, who sacrificed everything, much for the benefit of future generations.
The notion of helping create a better world for the future was tremendous motivation.
Today, it reminds of unworthy children who freely inherit (for instance, a vibrant family business) only to squander it and lose it.
It causes a person to scatch his head, wondering, “why?”
However.
i don’t believe parenting is for everyone. Jesus didn’t.
i think of this when reading reports of parental child neglect, abuse, or murder.
i also get a sense the internet and social media are taking a toll on young psyches. there is so much ugliness projected.
the situation with gov education being so far away from hearts+minds. every baby born is set to be a target for political warfare.
i’d like young people to grasp, today’s world’s noise is “nothing” in comparison to what many former generations were forced to endure, in first person, real life. yet, they did. mostly because of HOPE in their hearts for a better future to come.
the power of propaganda is terrific.
i pray, somehow, the internet, as a tool of destructive propaganda, will be quieted - not by force of the sword! -
by ordinary people rejecting it, saying, “enough!”
i empathize and pray for young people and children. there are thieves out to steal their minds and lives.
many who go all-out for human abortion, would give their very lives for a dog, or other animal, thinking nothing of it.
as they are being taught in the world.
