I would assume Ken holds the comprehensive list somewhere, based on his definitive posting about related knowledge.

In reality, I'm sure Soloist has a list

I wish it was that simple... So one way is to go to the FDA website and look up the individual drug along with its papers on there and look through for fetal cell use, that captures most of the stuff as long as they have the original approval study. Honestly, a simple 1980 and before serves me and if its something after, I'll go digging. Its just too much work to look into each medication.
That being said, I'm happy to look up a drug for you if you need information on it.

There are a lot of lists out there. A lot of other people have tread down this path and Google is your friend. Soloist makes a distinction between testing as part of the FDA approval process and ongoing testing for product safety reasons and ongoing research. I fail to understand this distinction. In both cases, the stem cell testing played a part in the production of the drug you are using today. FDA approval is just one bureaucratic step in bringing a drug to market. Here is one such list of medications that have been tested on HEK-293 stem cells compiled on a Catholic site. The author includes links to the individual stem cell studies for each medication. It basically includes all but one of the top 20 most common prescription drugs and top 20 over-the-counter medications: https://www.patheos.com/blogs/throughca ... -medicine/

Aspirin was discovered and started being distributed in the 19th century. It hasn't changed since then.
Could you please educate us on how the development of aspirin was tested on stem cells in the 19th century?

I am curious about ibuprofen/Tylenol. if this is in fact true, what do people use as an alternative to a childhood fever?
I am also curious about the metformin? is there an alternative that can be used instead?
I did not see levothyroxine on the list...I suppose I need to check that one out.

so, to be clear...if a medicine was formulated pre1980, then it "should" be fetal free?
wasn't Tylenol/aspirin/ibuprofen prior to 1980?

Ibuprofen and Tylenol were developed and brought to market before anyone did research with fetal stem cells. Ken is just making stuff up.
Metformin was brought to market in 1957 in France and fetal stem cells were not used in its development.I am also curious about the metformin? is there an alternative that can be used instead?
The list is not "comprehensive", it is a made-up list used to try to discredit people who question modern vaccines developed using stem cells.I did not see levothyroxine on the list...I suppose I need to check that one out.
Note that Patheos is an ultra-left-liberal religious site, it is not a science or medicine based site. Most of the writers there are very liberal. The site has a very strong pro-abortion and pro-vaccine stance, and dedicates many articles to mocking anyone who questions vaccine safety.

I am not making stuff up. Drug companies do not cease all research on a drug once they gain FDA approval and bring it to market. They continue to do ongoing safety research and ongoing research as to the drugs effectiveness for different uses, dosages, etc. long after the FDA has approved it. So the Tylenol that you buy today is the culmination of a long process to testing and development, continuing up to the present day, and that process includes stem cell testing. It is no different from car companies who continue to do safety research despite the fact that seat belts and air bags were approved and required decades ago.Josh wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 11:45 amIbuprofen and Tylenol were developed and brought to market before anyone did research with fetal stem cells. If you want to buy Tylenol that has not been developed and tested using stem cells, you need to find a source of Tylenol manufactured before 1980. But I expect those doses would have been expired 35 years ago. The same thing applies to most other common prescription and OTC drugs.

Re: Covid-19 Vaccines and Christian Ethics
What you’re saying is completely bogus. Tylenol made today is an identical chemical to what was made in 1980.
Random third parties may be doing research but that’s irrelevant.
Aborted fetus stem cells weren’t used to develop aspirin, Tylenol, or many other drugs.
They were, however, integral to the development of the American COVID vaccines. That’s what we want to avoid: using stem cell research.
