I now have firsthand and secondhand reports of people getting early treatment with FLCCC protocols with excellent results.

Full recovery, no bad symptoms, no burdens placed in ERs/ICUs.

Connecticut College Goes Remote Due to COVID Cases despite 98-99% vaccination rate
[An administrator] said most of the students who tested positive this week were vaccinated and the cases are a direct result of not following masking protocols.
"I know that it sounds like it shouldn't be happening, but it is not unexpected by any means," Dr. Paulo Verardi, a professor of virology and vaccinology at the University of Connecticut, said.

Verardi stressed that vaccines protect against severe disease, but to prevent infection, masks are still critical. Especially as the more contagious delta variant continues to spread in Connecticut.
Vaccines sure are working great, but we still have to lock down, socially distance, and mask...

I just don't understand; does it ever stop? At the hospital, we have been told over and over that masking saves lives, so keep your mask up (though our patients, who are sick, wear masks about 10% of the time). Those who got vaccinated still had to wear masks, so did we not trust the vaccine from the very beginning? Or if just masks work, why do we need to mandate the vaccine? And now we are getting more and more situations like Israel, like this school in CT, where we have places vaccinated at or above herd immunity, and people keep getting sick.

At what point do we openly admit that this is simply a new virus part of our "normal" lives and we cannot avoid it? We are members of a fallen world, and we are told there is nothing new under the sun. Disease is a not a new facet of the human experience, it will always ebb and flow. At what point do we as Christians just accept that, and stop trying to have the god called Science try to save us.

According to the worldometers charts, it looks like we may be past the second highest wave of Covid cases yet.

However, this wave of cases has produce the third, not the second, highest wave of Covid daily deaths averages.

This simplistic glance is enough to show that Covid is clearly not as deadly as it used to be. I credit natural immunity and vaccines.

Last year this time, we were gearing up for the huge wave of Covid cases and deaths we saw over the winter. Even if we see a peak in cases, I can't imagine we're going to see huge deaths numbers like we did last year. This thing has effected the population so thoroughly that at some point natural immunity on top of the vaccines has got to make a huge difference.

For five months or so this year, US deaths ran basically right along the expected lines (where last year deaths ran in excess of expected levels for most of the year). It has popped up again just a bit recently, but I still think that sometime within the next few years, deaths have to fall below expected levels for a sustained period of time. Because so many of the vulnerable and comprised populations have died in the past year and a half.

There has been some reporting claiming that hospitals are overworked and under-staffed due to the work created by COVID.
Perhaps another factor is contributing to the shortage. NPR reports that a hospital in Lewis County, NY is at least temporarily shuttering its maternity ward due to the number of staff who are quitting rather than be injected against their will.
