Let's hold off on calling it a "super-spreader event" until there's data to support that. So far it's just a "potential" super-spreader event being yapped about by those who think all large gatherings should be suspended for the foreseeable future. In a few days most of the attendees will be back home and their cases, if any, will be counted in their state of residence and not in South Dakota.

Remember to get your 3rd vaccine shot, since the first two didn't work.

Re: Coronavirus Outbreak
Fine, call it a potential super-spreader event. I don't think all large gatherings should be suspended. If people want to go to Sturgis, go to Sturgis. But I do think packing hundreds of thousands of people elbow-to-elbow into bars for a week, few of whom will be masked, and a large percentage of whom won't be vaccinated, is just asking for a widespread outbreak. This is what Sturgis is aboutohio jones wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 6:05 pmLet's hold off on calling it a "super-spreader event" until there's data to support that. Same old same old. From the information provided just because they died without having received a third shot it does not necessarily follow that they would have survived if they had received the third shot.

Won’t change the propaganda; Fauci already wants people to get third booster shots. After that will come 4th booster shots. Eventually they’ll be mandatory and go in your covid passport in blue states / areas like NYC.silentreader wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:03 pmSame old same old. The question that came to mind was what percentage of people in Israel had received the third shot as of 2 or more weeks ago?silentreader wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 8:03 pmSame old same old. I'm extremely skeptical this will remain just at nursing homes when the roll out happens. Anyone know of nursing homes not taking Medicaid or Medicare in the plain world? or have they all taken it?

All the mainstream Menno nursing homes I'm aware of probably have the huge majority of their patients on either Medicare or Medicaid.Soloist wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 11:22 pm https://apnews.com/article/business-hea ... e7e4bfbb92

NOTE: It is the patients who are on Medicare/Medicaid. That is who pays their bills. I would imagine most nursing homes would have to evict most of their patients and would quickly go bankrupt if they chose not to accept patients who are on Medicare/Medicaid.
And no. It won't just be nursing homes. It will be all health care jobs that come into contact with the public. That is already the requirement in some states like here in WA.
