It occurred to me that slogan perverts the Christian message:
Know justice, know peace.

Not really. BLM activists aren't asking for more theoretical studies to be published in obscure journals. They are asking for simple concrete non-theoretical things.Josh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 5:20 pmYou don’t think the two are connected?Ken wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 5:17 pmCRT is an esoteric academic theory. To the extent that it has "adherents" they are academics doing research in law schools and places like that.
I think you are confused with BLM activists, some of whom chanted "no justice no peace" at rallies, and few of whom have ever even heard of CRT much less know what it really is.
No. This is like saying that everyone who voted for Trump is connected to Charlottesville or January 6th.
As I keep repeating, NH-J thinks property crimes is ok because it’s not “violence”.Bootstrap wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:44 pmNo. This is like saying that everyone who voted for Trump is connected to Charlottesville or January 6th.
You keep repeating your claims without providing the quotes I have asked for. I don't think the people I have quoted so far are calling for violence, I don't think they are saying the things you claim they are saying. They don't seem to promote violence in the things I have read so far.
As far as I know, NH-J has never said that property crimes are OK. What she has said is that they are not the moral equivalent of murder. Which is a position that is supported legally, morally, and biblically.Josh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:24 pmAs I keep repeating, NH-J thinks property crimes is ok because it’s not “violence”.Bootstrap wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:44 pmNo. This is like saying that everyone who voted for Trump is connected to Charlottesville or January 6th.

Boot, if you really want to play this game, I will go find quotes from NH-J advocating for some extreme positions. Do you think that really is helpful?
I would never say that Biden voters support terrorism. I have not said anything close to that.
I am calling out NH-J for having extremist views, because she does.
Yes, you keep repeating that. No, you have not provided a quote in which she says anything like that. I don't think she has ever said property crime is OK. She did say it was disturbing.
The "game" I am playing in this thread involves picking articles and other things to discuss instead of repeating talking points. So yes, it would be helpful to point to something she has written and discuss the thrust of her thought.
When I find some time, I’ll scroll through Twitter and find a few of her choicer statements.Bootstrap wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:59 pmYes, you keep repeating that. Endlessly finding citations to please Bootstrap (or you) isn’t the highest priority in my life. I think I had college professors who gave me A’s for papers with fewer references than what Boot demands. Talking to him is like doing post-doctoral research at The Ohio State University, with the defense committee having an especially grumpy day.Szdfan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 10:56 pmJosh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 10:37 pmWhen I find some time, I’ll scroll through Twitter and find a few of her choicer statements.Bootstrap wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 7:59 pm
