(racism)
Probably more than anything, it’s fear.
And it’s universal. If not, it’s close to universal.

People groups have all manner ways to deal with it, live with it, negotiate around it.

Jesus did not suggest organizing political blocs for power - for any reason.
The world now has a grave problem with organized political blocs (for everything) - and so much denial of God in heaven. :(

From what i sense, being a black conservative is difficult, i can hardly imagine.
Those i follow barely mention it, they have too much class to make an issue of it.

But i believe the insults and lack of fair recognition are palpably real for them. It’s very sad.

They have so much to offer. No shortage of names, varied experiences, messages. Ignored.

No effort at balance is made.

Well, just as Dr Alveda King (and, example, March for Life) are generally ignored, they carry on quite nicely without the blessing of the mainstream. Interesting how that works.

Can anyone imagine how different today’s world would be if conservative leaders received equal time in the mainstream, in public schools, etc.? i don’t believe i can. It’s so far off the table who could imagine such a world?

Interesting what Tolkien had to say about the corruption of humility and equality by democratic activism:
I am not a 'democrat' only because 'humility' and equality are spiritual principles corrupted by the attempt to mechanize (turn them to a means of getting power) and formalize them, with the result that we get not universal smallness and humility, but universal greatness and pride, till some Orc gets hold of a ring of power--and then we get and are getting slavery.”

This is a political ad, but I like her. She is an independent thinker. I saw a longer clip of her and she talked about her faith. I just share this to show that there are other minority leaders who do not subscribe to CRT. I am not promoting her for election here.

Racism is a bad thing. I denounce it. CRT is not a correction for racism, it is a philosophy based on critical theory and attaches race as the dividing issue for oppressor and oppressed.

I disagree with the CR and CRT. Both polarize. Neither calls us to love and forgive each other.
I agree that this is a problem. I would reserve words like "oppresssors" for the kinds of things we traditionally associate with that term. But I am willing to listen to people who don't speak the way I do, and I think I hear some of this coming from the right as well, where some commentators often portray those who disagree with them as trying to steal our freedom, as Marxist revolutionaries, etc. I find the extremist and polarizing language on both sides problematic. And the campaign against CRT is hardly innocent of this.

Is it extremist and polarizing just to state the facts, that Critical Race Theory is ultimately derived from Marx's Critical Theory via Gramsci?

Is it extremist and polarizing to recognize that it's not just a tool of analysis but also can serve as an ideology?

“Orc” is a good word for it. Regardless of form, the RESULTS are the same.

Thank you. i recognize her name, now, likewise, not as a politician .. that’s news to me. maybe from the past? not a central pursuit for her? a name search: https://www.google.com/search?q=carol+s ... e&ie=UTF-8

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_M._Swain

Notice, a petition to suspend her from her work: https://www.change.org/p/vanderbilt-uni ... arol-swain
Now SOP for those who dare not align.

 Wait. Correction. The second video is of Ruth Edmonds. Carol Swain is not a politician.
Ruth E. is new to me.

No exaggeration. Being black and conservative is a tough path. They take all kinds of pointed and personal criticism, i’m sure it hurts badly. Rarely mentioned. i pray for them. and respect their willingness to be who they are when selling out would be so much easier, and materially vastly more profitable.

Can anyone imagine a world wherein conservative views are respectfully granted equal time? “Respectfully” is officially out!
i don’t believe i can imagine such a world. It’s what we would have in the U.S., if the U.S. were “as advertised.”

In my mind, abusing taxpayer dollars for partisan politics should be unthinkable. It’s become expected.
Partisans should be forced to do their own funding. Not dip into everyone’s combined tax dollars (the Public Treasury) to promote+fund partisan politics. What happens just in the DOE is gut-wrenching.

Access to the Public Treasury is at root of many, maybe all, organized political blocs. Power+money. $$$, cloaked in all manner language pretending it’s not. Deceit. The extreme antics used for deceit could be comical, if folks were more generally aware.

It’s so normalized, abusers feel entitled, demanding+expecting evermore. Gimme gimme gimme. $$$
