All that I am saying is that the current fuss over CRT among the conservative world isn't really about CRT at all. I have not read one single intelligent conservative criticism of CRT that looks at actual real life examples. What I have read is a bunch of straw-men arguments in which one side invents something out of thin air that they are calling CRT that doesn't actually exist, and then expend a lot of energy and fury attacking it. That is what is happening right now in my own home town. Angry people are showing up at our local school board meetings to scream (yes SCREAM) about the teaching of CRT in the local schools when that is something that doesn't happen and has never happened.

i implore listening to the VB and TS tapes above. No screaming involved.
VB sees a direct link to what is being sold and taught with CRT. “a rose by any other name” ..

if parents are screaming, it’s probably because they don’t like hearing what their children are bringing home from school, and they deserve to be heard. if they vote, they need to be careful about what they vote for. it’s late in the day, but .. too many have trusted too much for too long. the price is overdue.

i suspect a lot of people have inadvertantly voted for things they do not want. then they’re surprised at outcomes.
i’ve witnessed this for years. i ask, “did you vote for it?!” often, they did. not reading the fine print.

You keep posting links to those videos all over Mennonet. I assume your argument is that systemic racism does not exist? How about you summarize the actual argument in favor of the notion that systemic racism does not exist, and summarize the evidence in support of that view for us to see?

i posted the 3 brief videos TWICE today, in response to topics where i feel they are helpful.
i have no transcripts, i have no desire to reword or paraphrase what these gentlemen are saying so well.

it’s up to each person to decide to view.
because of the words (and lots of googled junk) you post all over MN everyday, i implored viewing. for balanced, reasonable perspective. your stated view is that your view is fact, beyond debate, you dismiss others and their views as unworthy.

with these videos, i’m suggesting there are other worthwhile views. and providing sources that i respect.

i am discouraged about the dedicated narrow mindedness of many in “education.” i’m sorry. it makes me very sad.

 in this thread, i am most interested in Falco’s opinion.

This may be an example of parents “screaming” at WAschool board meeting: no, looks like Georgia ..
i did not hear screaming. if screaming happened, i presume it would have been aired.
either way, these sorts of accusations serve to dismiss others as (inept, if not insane).

2 min.

imho, i’d prefer these parents be present ALL THE TIME, whenever feasible.
trusting too much without accountability leads to problems.

i was trying to find a WA example. similar may be happening across the country. i expect it is.

Resolved: ... we do not deny that ethnic, gender, and cultural distinctions exist and are a gift from God that will give Him absolute glory when all humanity gathers around His throne in worship because of the redemption accomplished by our resurrected Lord
This kind of ambiguity is intentional. CRT is about creating class consciousness and undermining the norms of the Christian hegemony and replacing it with a counter-hegemony.

The leapord won't change it spots no matter if they change the wording. Beware the leaven of the neo-Marxists.

Decidedly intentional, with division for power as motivation.

Things are confused, because they begin with some agreed upon premise, but then distort words to force choice, which then leads to accusations that others are uncaring, uninterested, in denial, and worse. Twisted. (example: above video of parents at a school board meeting. even on this forum, a member dismisses parents questioning the program in his community as “screamers.”)

The one way out of confusion: Jesus Christ. They hate that. :-|

Voddie B and Thomas S understand it and explain it ‘way better than i.
i’ve never heard either man scream.

Of note is that we’ve had joshuabgood lecturing us on this forum for over a year about critical race theory, and basically telling us that to be a conservative Anabaptist or to be a Bible-obeying Christian at all, we have to accept critical race theory.

Excellent video, Temp. Voddie Baucham has become one of my favorites - naturally, because his perspective is similar to my own and I can learn from him! :P

He mentions Hegel here, too, albeit briefly, as necessary for understanding the spiritual roots of CRT.

Thomas Sowell comes from a more secular worldview (which is foreign to me) so it's a little harder for me to understand him.
