Nice to see weather and agriculture is living on in jargon. Cloud, Sky, onion, hay and fruit.

My least favorite jargon term? "Proactive"

When I hear a manager use it in education or government that is my signal to start tuning them out. It is almost always used in a sense that is opposite to its real meaning, assuming it is even a real word.

I hate the use of the term "groom" as in "We want to groom him for a management position." Seems to imply that somebody's getting exploited.

When I hear the term I think of a dog groomer or horse groomer getting the subordinate all prettified and presentable. It’s not about competence and doing a good job. It’s about looking the part and knowing how to play the role. Show ponies get groomed. Workhorses not so much.

I always cringe when I hear "to position ourselves for future growth..."

Typically it means they hired another cake eater.

Do you know of a job available? Do you need a job? ..
This thread is meant to be about “Job openings, work needed” - not about griping about jobs. :D
