She does believe in female pastors.

But the honorable, Christian thing to do is to either present evidence for your other accusations or retract them, please don't throw shade on me instead of doing one of these two things. Even if you presented evidence that I don't accept, that would be the honorable, Christian thing to do.

False accusations or accusations without evidence are not a Christian virtue.
Okay. So I presented proof for you and you rejected them. Therefore I have fit your definition. I have no bone in this fight, I rejected beth moore books a long time ago and could care less.

I also could link multiple posts were you rejected information provided to you as false so "shade" as you call it would fit you well.

You pointed to web pages. When I read them, the only Beth Moore quotes I could find said that she embraces traditional biblical teaching on this question, and they sure looked like an Internet goon squad was trying to get dirt on her.

Since you are making the accusation, could you please provide the evidence instead of blaming me for being unable to find it? "I pointed you to a web page or two and this is how I feel about her" is not good enough. Can you please quote something that Beth Moore said that supports your claims? Or simply say that you do not know of such a quote? I think that's the best way to let your yes be yes and your no be no.

If I do this in the future, please do point it out. At the time. Concretely, so we can sort it out then. That's the kind of thing that can help believers approach truth together.

But please don't distract from my request now.

Beware of incrementalism and incrementalists”.

i pray for inspiration, for leaders to be inspired by God. whether in church leadership, or any other, including POTUS.
God uses all for His purposes. He uses some of the worst. He always has.

What field does He choose from?? He has humans, angels, saints. He uses all. Much to human consternation.

 hmm. creeping incrementalism. i wonder about creepy incrementalists? :P

Creeping incrementalism. Ok.
What happens to what Jesus really said and did? No shortage of opinions.

For me, on many topics, ESPECIALLY those now highly politicized, it’s well to discern how Jesus responded to individual sinners, versus governments. He did not suggest turning to gov for answers. Not at all. He did not suggest organizing political blocs+cults for the purpose of exacting power in government, access to the public treasury.

This becomes VERY MURKY when so many organized political blocs+cults move to OWN not only governments, but churches.
This is well underway now. It’s not a matter of prevention - it’s more about correction.

It’s over the top when so blatant that folks who do not accept gov flags and regalia decide to embrace openly prideful flags and regalia that stand for carnal sin, i.e., blasphemy. A mockery of God’s creation.

There can be no surprise confusion and turmoil result.

Don’t jump on political bandwagons. Not Jesus’ idea. Not remotely so.

Its been pointed out to you by Robert, Josh and myself before and likely others. I don't see that you learned anything from having it pointed out or will going forward.

The only reason I posted anything was because you didn't want to look for the evidence Josh said was there. You disputed my evidence I found with only a moment or two of looking.

You believe gay marriage is okay.

That's a bald-faced lie. And unbecoming of a believer.

Nope. You have yet to present a quote from Beth Moore that says what you claim. Please do, or admit that you do not have such a quote. Or if you did and I happened to miss it, please show me where you did.

but you don't deny it? Now me stating that was ridiculous but thats not what they were doing. They were politely asking if she still believed it to be sin and she refused to answer.

She did answer, though. And I quoted her answer. And you refuse to believe her answer. You also don't seem to have any quote from her that contradicts the answer she gave.

I do not believe gay marriage is OK, I have said that repeatedly, but there is a certain goon squat that keeps trying to claim that I do. Perhaps that's not what you were doing, perhaps you were trying to make some other point, but others have done that. And I would not be at all surprised if the social media goon squad is doing the same thing to Beth Moore.

Christians should not be part of these social media goon squads. If we are concerned about the integrity of biblical Christianity, surely that's one of the things we need to keep our eyes on.

My point was simply that a reasonable person would answer the question. You did. I don't have any basis for believing that you are fine with gay marriage and I certainly was not trying to pick a fight, just make a point.

If a group started an Internet campaign against me, demanding answers on Twitter and blog posts, I might choose not to answer online, and I probably wouldn't answer instantly. The goon squad effect. Cancel culture. Not the way to do this. I don't know that she owed THEM an answer.

But she did answer, here's the answer I quoted earlier:
Bootstrap wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 12:04 pm But the quotes from Beth Moore herself seem pretty clear.
Beth Moore wrote:I hold firmly to a traditional Christian sexual ethic and continue to believe the Bible sets apart marriage as a covenant between a man and a woman. But I also believe that Scripture clearly teaches that all sex outside of marriage is contrary to God‘s will.
She also said this:
Beth Moore wrote:Here is what I no longer have the stomach for after the last several years: the hypocrisy burgeoning from hyper fundamentalist Christianity. I do not lack a Scriptural view of sin. I just believe in a longer list of serious sins than some.

“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)
I agree with both of these statements.
That seems like a biblical answer to me. What am I missing?

i have no idea about boot’s beliefs, other than he confuses matters by saying one thing and voting for another, denying that he’s voting for it. abortion is another point of confusion. military action. it really is confusing.

boot doesn’t seem to align perfectly with Ken, yet, he seems to have voted with Ken .. all along? (again, just from what can be construed from his forum words.) as i read from Ken, i often think, “well, many voted for everything he promotes, now here is the forum representation of what that means IRL.” (for all, ask yourself, did you vote for it? do you have regrets? could you admit regret if you had it?) not easy questions.

boot is not the gatekeeper of Christianity.
for myself, he is not any description life leader. he’s a dominant but mixed-up guy on this forum. with lots of political opinions. and denial. imho.
