From the Wikipedia article on Antonio Gramsci:
Antonio Gramsci proposed a strategic distinction between a War of Position and a War of Manœuvre. The war of position is an intellectual and cultural struggle wherein the anti-capitalist revolutionary creates a proletarian culture whose native value system counters the cultural hegemony of the bourgeoisie. The proletarian culture will increase class consciousness, teach revolutionary theory and historical analysis, and thus propagate further revolutionary organisation among the social classes. On winning the war of position, socialist leaders would then have the necessary political power and popular support to begin the political manœuvre warfare of revolutionary socialism.
Did Jesus come to spread class consciousness and revolutionary principles of social justice? Some Neo-Marxists may not agree with the words in bold, but can you rule it out that some might adopt at least some form of it?

These movements are organized, which requires someone (or some group) to do the organizing. They don't happen by chance. CRT and Intersectionality are offshoots of neo-Marxist movements.

Probably too late to do that. They've already got themselves entrenched in leadership positions. Any leaders who vote against the agenda will lose their positions/jobs. Probably the only way out of their clutches now would be to schism, in which case they walk away with half the organization''s assets. Thanks for playing.

"Striking the shepherds so the sheep will be scattered" is their MO.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy,(A) which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world(B) rather than on Christ.
We give them leadership positions instead.
I see this as an excellent reason to pray for God’s guidance and to pray for the leadership to remain faithful to God; as well as faithful to the Bible.

Too many compromises with secularists; sodomists; and cultural contamination of the Body of Christ in His fellowships leads to Jesus spewing them out because they are lukewarm (Revelations 3:16).

Discipleship is not a job or career; it’s not a corporate ladder nor for intellectual pedants to gain prestige.

Discipleship involves plenty of humility and a desire to grow in Christ regardless of the cost or pain involved in my experiences.

Well I guess I can say "Amen" to that!

I also think these things are signs of the times.

I think you are in agreement with the Bible on that, Falco.

Yesterday, the Pope nixed a meeting with Biden and also nixed his attendance at the Papal Mass. The Pope was being thoughtful and showing a courtesy vis a vis the discussions going on this week at the USA Bishop's meeting in which a majority of them want to set clear guidelines for excommunicating Catholic politicians who support abortion, homosexual unions and other abominations that are against Biblical teaching.

MaxPC,

Notice how the lying press claims the Pope didn’t cancel his meeting with Biden, and instead claims none was planned in the first place.

Here's some End Times Signs I've been thinking about:
2 Tim 4:3 (AMP)

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold
Think "Synodality"
John 21:18

Verily truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."
Who is "dressing" the Church (Peter) and leading him where he would not want to go?

Modernists? (aka Hegelians, neo-Marxists?) — Synodality.
Luke 13
25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’

“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’(Z)

26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’

27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’(AA)
"We ate and drank with you" (in the Church) "And you taught in our streets". (The Gentile nations)

They don't seem to understand they've become apostates. Times of the Gentiles fulfilled?

This will be interesting to watch.

I'm fascinated to see an American Catholic judging the Southern Baptists on this particular set of issues, implying that people like Russell Moore and J.D. Greear are flaming liberals or something. Kind of astonishing, really.

But maybe we can all back off of judging people we don't know on the basis of facts we have no grasp of? Why is judging others such a constant emphasis for some?

Given how frequently Ken brings up Southern Baptists and their extravagant swimming pools, it seems only fair to let our resident plain Catholic assess the SBC (or whatever they like to be called now) and bring us the P.C. spin on things.

You're right, the mainstream liberal press is trying to spin it yet again to protect Biden's image I suppose.

Fact: Biden requested a meeting with the Pope and to attend a Papal Mass. Pope Francis said no.

Good ones, Falco and I can see these Scriptures hitting home on the entire state of Christianity.
