A bombshell new study claims to have proof that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a lab and then tried to reverse-engineer versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.

British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen wrote they’ve had primary evidence "of retro-engineering in China" since last year, but were ignored by academics and major medical journals, The Daily Mail reported Saturday, citing the soon-to-be-published study.

The study concludes: "the likelihood of it being the result of natural processes is very small." The virus is still killing 12,000 people a day around the world.

Dalgleish is a London oncology professor known for breakthrough work on a vaccine for HIV. Sørensen is a virologist and chair of the pharmaceutical company Immunor, which developed a coronavirus vaccine candidate called Biovacc-19. Dalgleish also has a financial stake in that company.

It was during their COVID-19 vaccine research that the pair came across "unique fingerprints" indicating the virus didn’t come from nature, they said. The telltale clue: a rare finding in the COVID-carrying virus of a row of four amino acids, which give off a positive charge and bond to negative human cells.

"The laws of physics mean that you cannot have four positively charged amino acids in a row," Dalgleish told the Daily Mail. "The only way you can get this is if you artificially manufacture it."

They also tracked published Chinese research, some done working with American universities, to show how the tools to create the virus were allegedly built. A good part of the work reviewed involved "gain of function" research, which involves manipulating natural viruses in a lab to make them more infectious, allowing scientists to study their potential effect on humans.

The U.S. put a moratorium on such research in 2014. But it’s impossible to know if $600,000 funding for medical research in China was used for gain of function research, Dr. Anthony Fauci told Congress last week.
This doesn't address dealing with Covid. We still have to do that no matter how it was created.

I take all of the above everyday... It still got me!
Praise the Lord you came through. Those that get a bad case are serious when they convey how bad they felt. Some are asymptomatic, some a few more minor symptoms, some like a long bad flu, some get long hospital stays, some don't make it. Several factors seem common to resist it, or be overcome. One common factor seemed to be those worse case/deaths were low in vitamin D. there's different strengths of supplements. Losing taste & smell senses i understand means being low on zinc. We took a "zinc" test- just to see. So much contributes to a healthy immune system (or not healthy) but that's why the risk factors/ages were published. Of course there's always exceptions. One thing I think was so terrible was causing the amount of fear and anxiety from the beginning. The emotions of fear and anxiety in themselves will lower your immune system, thereby making you more susceptible to viruses. Same with cancer, I read for years how it's important for people to deal with stress and anxiety because your immune system will be affected thereby making you more prone to cancer. Of course there's a lot of things that contribute to someone getting cancer but certainly causing such a great amount of fear and anxiety with the coronavirus only made people more susceptible emotionally hurting their immune system, making them less resistant if exposed
I agree that fear and anxiety can adversely affect our immune system. Scripture says don't be anxious about anything. This then would include all believers views on this pandemic whatever they may be. So why are Christians showing so much anxiety over how other Christians view this issue or any other issue ? Doesn't 'be anxious for nothing' and the peace of God will guard our thoughts from such things what we should pursue ? Philippians 4:6-8.
For me I don't have anxiety over it observing the different views of Christians. But I'm mindful of observing who and why we believe who we believe when trying to determine evaluating this disastrous 14 months played out.

A 65 year old brother recently passed away in Lancaster from Covid. Another friend and his wife are currently hit hard with Covid in Holmes, Co. Are we seeing another wave go through the plain communities? Are people getting it who have not gotten it before? Are people getting it a second time? Is it due to variants?

As of 5/30/2021

National Covid infection rate: 6.0 per 100,000 (fully vaccinated 40%)
Pennsylvania Covid infection rate: 9.0 per 100,000 (fully vaccinated 43%)
Lancaster Co. Covid infection rate: 7.7 per 100,000 (fully vaccinated 41%
Ohio Covid infection rate: 6 per 100,000 (fully vaccinated 40%)
Holmes Co. Covid infection rate: 8 per 100,000 (fully vaccinated 13%)

In terms of Lancaster and Holmes Counties, the only statistic that stands out is the dramatically low vaccination rate in Holmes County. Otherwise Covid infection rates are more or less in line with national averages.

Of course I'm not aware of any statistics that break things down further to subpopulations like "plain communities." Lancaster County is a large rapidly urbanizing county with a population of about 550,000 of which the plain community is only a small fraction. By contrast, Holmes County is a rural county that is less than 1/10 the size of Lancaster Co. at 43,000 of which plain folks make up a much higher percentage. So there may be plain pockets of Lancaster County that look much more like Holmes but just don't show up in county-wide stats. I really have no idea.

As to why people are still getting infected? It is a very infectious disease so I imagine it is a combination of: (1) lack of vaccinations, (2) relaxing of pandemic-related health restrictions, and (3) more transmissible variants now in circulation. Hospitals are reporting virtually no intensive care patients that are fully vaccinated. At this point in the pandemic, hospitalizations and deaths are almost entirely from the unvaccinated portion of the population. Which is still a very sizeable portion of the total population.

As mike pointed out, the death rate now is similar to this time last year. The difference is there isn’t political will for harsh lockdowns, and the vaccine provides (questionable) hope - nobody wants to hear that there is no cure for this.

Obviously it would have been better to deal with it a year ago and get it over with.

No, we aren’t. There is no evidence anywhere of reinfection.

Eventually we do have to accept that elderly people dying is rather normal - particularly of infectious diseases. This was normal in the 19th century, but for some reason we think we are exempt now. The alternative is to lock elderly people away and never see them for fear of disease - quite an odd way to force elderly people to “live”.

This whole thing is going to be over very soon at these rates of decline.

The recent nose-dive in deaths might be due to the Memorial Day holiday, but the trend is steadily down.

If the Wuhan lab-leak hypothesis is true, expect a political earthquake
https://www.yahoo.com/news/wuhan-lab-le ... 49505.html

.......We cast blame so innocently in those days. We scolded at will. We knew who was right and we shook our heads to behold those in the wrong playing in their swimming pools and on the beach. It made perfect sense to us that Donald Trump, a politician we despised, could not grasp the situation, that he suggested people inject bleach, and that he was personally responsible for more than one super-spreading event. Reality itself punished leaders like him who refused to bow to expertise. The prestige news media even figured out a way to blame the worst death tolls on a system of organized ignorance they called “populism.”

In reaction to the fool Trump, liberalism made a cult out of the hierarchy of credentialed achievement in general

But these days the consensus doesn’t consense quite as well as it used to. Now the media is filled with disturbing stories suggesting that Covid might have come — not from “populism” at all, but from a laboratory screw-up in Wuhan, China. You can feel the moral convulsions beginning as the question sets in: What if science itself is in some way culpable for all this?
The news media, in its zealous policing of the boundaries of the permissible, insisted that Russiagate was ever so true but that the lab-leak hypothesis was false false false, and woe unto anyone who dared disagree. Reporters gulped down whatever line was most flattering to the experts they were quoting and then insisted that it was 100% right and absolutely incontrovertible — that anything else was only unhinged Trumpist folly, that democracy dies when unbelievers get to speak, and so on.

• The social media monopolies actually censored posts about the lab-leak hypothesis. Of course they did! Because we’re at war with misinformation, you know, and people need to be brought back to the true and correct faith — as agreed upon by experts.
Let us pray, now, for science,” intoned a New York Times columnist back at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. The title of his article laid down the foundational faith of Trump-era liberalism: “Coronavirus is What You Get When You Ignore Science.”

Ten months later, at the end of a scary article about the history of “gain of function” research and its possible role in the still ongoing Covid pandemic, Nicholson Baker wrote as follows: “This may be the great scientific meta-experiment of the 21st century. Could a world full of scientists do all kinds of reckless recombinant things with viral diseases for many years and successfully avoid a serious outbreak? The hypothesis was that, yes, it was doable. The risk was worth taking. There would be no pandemic.”

Except there was. If it does indeed turn out that the lab-leak hypothesis is the right explanation for how it began — that the common people of the world have been forced into a real-life lab experiment, at tremendous cost — there is a moral earthquake on the way.

Because if the hypothesis is right, it will soon start to dawn on people that our mistake was not insufficient reverence for scientists, or inadequate respect for expertise, or not enough censorship on Facebook. It was a failure to think critically about all of the above, to understand that there is no such thing as absolute expertise. Think of all the disasters of recent years: economic neoliberalism, destructive trade policies, the Iraq War, the housing bubble, banks that are “too big to fail,” mortgage-backed securities, the Hillary Clinton campaign of 2016 — all of these disasters brought to you by the total, self-assured unanimity of the highly educated people who are supposed to know what they’re doing, plus the total complacency of the highly educated people who are supposed to be supervising them.

I spent some time digging up the actual document the other day... One there is no actual way to know if its a modified document. The story of where it came from keeps changing, although it does seem like he did a FOIA. And the stunning feature of the ovaries is actually not the highlight of the accumulation.

https://files.catbox.moe/0vwcmj.pdf
More accumulates in the Liver, Adrenal glands and the speen.

https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/documents/ ... ort_en.pdf

This second report I link is not some "covered up" document and says the exact same thing about accumulation.

While I agree the cardiac effects of the vaccine warrant further investigation, it is still rare and the actual disease causes the same problem too. As for injecting a "toxin" It could always be worse... We could be injecting a virus!!!
