I do not feel a compulsion to comply with every sign I see. Nor is it “lying” to contravene posted signage.
In California, it is common to see 5 - 10 pages of signage up at every business. Nobody actually reads it all and certainly is not actually complying with it.
The reported number of children hospitalized with COVID-19 in California was "grossly inflated," potentially leading policymakers and parents to believe kids were at higher risk from the virus than they actually are, according to two new studies.
"Hospital Pediatrics," a journal of medicine for pediatric care, published two research papers Wednesday that found child hospitalizations for COVID-19 were over-counted by at least 40% in the state, and researchers believe it's likely national numbers were similarly inflated. New York magazine reported commentary from Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious disease specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, and her colleague Amy Beck, an associate professor of pediatrics, that explained the studies' findings.
"Taken together, these studies underscore the importance of clearly distinguishing between children hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2 found on universal testing versus those hospitalized for COVID-19 disease," they wrote. The reported hospitalization rates "greatly overestimate the true burden of COVID-19 disease in children." In an interview, Gandhi told New York magazine "there is no reason to think these findings would be exclusive to California. This sort of retrospective chart review will likely reveal the same findings across the country."

I think I am funnier than I really am.
Sen. Rand Paul said he won’t get the COVID-19 vaccine because he has already had the coronavirus and believes he now has “natural immunity.”
Paul (R-Ky.), one of the first senators to test positive for the virus last March, told John Catsimatidis on his WABC 770 AM radio show that it’s a personal decision to opt-out of the vaccine.
An ophthalmologist, Paul said unless he sees evidence proving that the vaccine is more effective than having survived the virus, he won’t be getting the shot.
“Until they show me evidence that people who have already had the infection are dying in large numbers, or being hospitalized or getting very sick, I just made my own personal decision that I’m not getting vaccinated because I’ve already had the disease and I have natural immunity,” Paul said in the interview that aired Sunday.
“In a free country you would think people would honor the idea that each individual would get to make the medical decision, that it wouldn’t be a big brother coming to tell me what I have to do,” Paul said.
“Are they also going to tell me I can’t have a cheeseburger for lunch? Are they going to tell me that I have to eat carrots only and cut my calories?” Paul added. “All that would probably be good for me, but I don’t think big brother ought to tell me to do it.”

A Centers of Disease Control and Prevention advisory group is recommending a further study into reports that some teenagers and young adults have experienced heart inflammation after receiving coronavirus vaccines.
A statement from the committee dated Monday acknowledged reports that some vaccine recipients, mostly male adolescents, developed inflammation of the heart muscle known as myocarditis, according to the Guardian.
The CDC says it has not found more cases that would be expected in the population but still recommended that healthcare providers be aware of the “potential adverse event,” adding that the complications can be caused by a variety of viruses.
The complications typically started within four days of the patients receiving the vaccine, but the CDC did not specify which vaccine specifically was causing the problems.
In late April, Israel’s Health Ministry announced it was looking into reports of heart inflammation and said it was being reported by people who received the Pfizer vaccine.
An Israeli health official said "tens of incidents" of myocarditis were reported out of more than 5 million vaccinated people.
The numbers are quite low.

For all the relief about Covid coming under control, and the downward trends in cases and deaths, it seems important to note that daily new Covid cases are right about where they were a year ago, and daily new deaths are only slightly less than they were at the lowest point of 2020.

It is acting like a one and done virus. I am sure the vaccines are helping with that too.

An ophthalmologist is an eye doctor. lol.

The difference between a cheeseburger and COVID is that when you eat a cheeseburger, you’re not putting other people at risk for catching calories.
About WUHAN and early/immediate CONTAINMENT of pathogens:
WSJ / “Intelligence on Sick Staff at Wuhan Lab Fuels Debate on Covid-19 Origin”
“Report says researchers went to hospital in November 2019, shortly before confirmed outbreak;
adds to calls for probe of whether virus escaped lab” https://www.wsj.com/articles/intelligen ... 1621796228
i hope, if anything worthwhile comes out of this pandemic, it will be apolitical EARLY CONTAINMENT of pathogens,
whether novel viruses, or others, including scourges like Ebola and HIV-AIDS.
Quarantines are not new, and proven effective over time. Isolate+contain.

Well then, it makes sense that he want to see evidence. Maybe he’s trying to generate business, if you can’t see evidence, maybe he can help with your eyes.

Most (not all) of the serious illness from covid comes from comorbidities from obesity and diabetes.
If wellness had been a focus before 2020, covid wouldn’t have killed so many people. Instead, 2020 led to lots of unwanted weight gain. The problems all got worse.
