Which kinds of strawberries were the best tasting? Which kinds are all around best for home gardeners?
I have Sparkle and Galletta ordered.
Earliglow is the best tasting. Very sweet with a strong strawberry flavor. After the first berries, they get small. They have lots of berries so picking is too time-consuming for most commercial growers, but if you are planting less than a thousand feet of row, they're great. https://www.noursefarms.com/product/earliglow/
Those are what we used to grow. They would not last long so one day on the farm stand was all they would take. As a result we ended up with a lot of frozen strawberries! But indeed they are the most strawberry tasting strawberries.
I had my first shot of the Moderna vaccine yesterday, and today I feel crummy. Sore arm, headache, and just a general feeling of being tired and sick. In other words, it's basically just like I felt for 10 days or so when I had Covid in February. The bright side of it is that this probably means the vaccine is being effective. A friend of mine who has leukemia got zero reaction from the vaccine, and his doctor said there is evidence that the vaccines are not very effective for leukemia patients.

I had a similar reaction to my first shot. It's expected that those who have had Covid will have a stronger reaction to the first dose. I also felt crummy the day after I received the shot and felt a lot better the next day.

What kinds did you plant?
We like orange and yellow ones also. This year I started Kellogg's Breakfast and Lemon Boy.
We also have Purple Cherokee, Beefsteak and Roma.
I had old seed of Aunt Ruby's Green tomato but they didn't come up.

I’m trying a bunch of different kinds this year.
Little Napoli, Legend, Hillbilly, San Mazano, Cuore Di Blue, Bobcat, Orange Paruche, Red Torch, Sunsugar, Big Boy, Roma.
Trying to find some good ones that do well in this area.
