You realize that hundreds and hundreds of people are nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize every year. Any high ranking diplomat or academic from any country can nominate someone. It doesn't mean much: https://www.nobelpeaceprize.org/Nomination

According to the Nobel Prize committee, There are 329 candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2021 out of which 234 are individuals and 95 are organizations. Zelenko was not nominated individually, but rather his name was included as part of a group of 43 doctors that are all working on Covid.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... re-working
COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the United States are declining, a sign that the vaccination campaign is succeeding and the spring surge has ended.

In the past two weeks, new COVID-19 cases in the U.S. have dropped from a seven-day average of 78,449 to 51,465, a decline of 34%. New hospitalizations have also fallen 34%, from 3,165 to 2,083.

Over 55% of adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 39% have been fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"With 100 million Americans fully vaccinated as of today, we continue to move ahead in our progress to end this pandemic," CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said Friday.

"I think we can confidently say the worst is behind us, barring some crazy unforeseen variant that none of us are expecting to see," Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of the Brown University School of Public Health, recently told ABC News.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, recently said people should expect cases to drop as the U.S. increases its vaccination levels.

Quick update on Sweden.

A number of us have been watching them because of their more open approach to Covid lockdown. At this point, the numbers for Sweden's approach look mixed.
  • 1) In terms of deaths, at 1,382 deaths per million they have done far worse than their Scandinavian neighbors (Finland 139, Norway 165, Denmark 429)

    2) Relative to other similar-sized (10 million people) European countries, they have done slightly worse (Serbia 739, Greece 1,020, Austria 1,134, Switzerland 1,223, Portugal 1,669)

    3) Relative to the US, Canada, and the largest European countries, they have done a bit better (Canada 640, Russia 762, France 1,603, Spain 1,672, US 1,737, UK 1,871, Italy 2,011)

https://fee.org/articles/new-study-reve ... heres-why/
Last summer, NBC News reported that New York state health officials were stunned by the number of hospitalized patients who said they had contracted COVID-19 while staying at home.

The data, collected from 113 hospitals who surveyed patients over a three-day span, suggested more than two-thirds had contracted the virus while staying at home.

"Sixty-six percent of the people were at home, which is shocking to us," Governor Andrew Cuomo told a gaggle of reporters at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in May. The percentage far outnumbered other more likely places, such as nursing homes (18 percent), assisted living facilities (4 percent), and homeless shelters/streets (2 percent).

"This is a surprise," Cuomo said. "We were thinking that maybe we were going to find a higher percent of essential employees who were getting sick because they were going to work — that these may be nurses, doctors, transit workers. That's not the case. They were predominantly at home."

So you suggesting that a lot of these people are just lying? Or aren't telling the entire truth about their movements? That would seem to be the case.

Covid doesn't magically spontaneously generate itself in someone's home. Or drift across the street from your neighbors on the breeze. It gets brought into the home from somewhere else.

Well really this isn't much different then no cases being connected with riots. Clearly we know outside spread is minimal but it would be logical to connect some cases with the riots but no data was actually gathered. No one was allowed to even ask those questions so of course no cases were linked.

The one explainable reason for covid spread in doors would be in a building complex with the same air circulation through the entire building. Otherwise... how did they get it? their clothing? shoes? fomite transmission is considered a very low risk vector.
