When your family is a TV show.... your family is a TV show.

This is not the first time he had done stuff like this. His family protected him before when it was his sisters.

Wasn't just the family that protected him. It was also Focus on the Family and Bill Gothard. And also the local police who also turned out to be pedophiles. The cop who let him off the hook is now serving 40+ years for child porn himself. And frankly, the producers of the TV show who kept coming back for more.KrisKramer wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 10:26 am This is not the first time he had done stuff like this. For the record, this Josh was not one of the choices in the Top Josh poll.
This particular Josh has been disqualified and cannot be a Top Josh. At least two MN participants, however, are eminently qualified.

Jury finds Josh guilty. Josh and defense claim someone else downloaded the files. Josh plans to appeal.

While I think child porn is utterly despicable and evil, why is it that the same system that prosecutes people like Josh to the fullest extent of the law doesn't seem to have a problem exposing kids to pornographic materials in school libraries? If kids lives are so important to protect from sexual exploitation, then protect them from all evil involving sexual matters!

Prohibitions on child porn aren’t so much about protecting children from seeing it. They are about protecting children from being forced into participating in the production of child porn (engaging in sex acts in front of the camera). Without such absolutely strict laws against child pornography there would quickly develop a whole billion dollar for-profit industry that would be trafficking in and exploiting children in the production of child pornography. Such industry already exists but it is buried deep into the dark web because anyone caught even possessing child porn gets prosecuted and sent to prison.GaryK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 7:55 pm While I think child porn is utterly despicable and evil, why is it that the same system that prosecutes people like Josh to the fullest extent of the law doesn't seem to have a problem exposing kids to pornographic materials in school libraries? That is fundamentally different from whether books like “To Kill a Mockingbird” or “The Hate U Give” gets banned in school libraries.

I recognize the difference. But when you start exposing kids to pornographic material at such a young age, what's to keep them from experimenting with their sexuality and, in the process, becoming prey for those looking to exploit them?Ken wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 8:17 pmProhibitions on child porn aren’t so much about protecting children from seeing it. Some years ago, while reading of ever-increasing sexualization of children+teens via gov schools/mandates, i sure wondered,
this is going to seriously blur the courts! How will charges stick against the abusive neighbor or other, when “educators” and “librarians” are exposing students to the same thing?? “Here, sweetie, look at this.”
Of course this is no accident.
There are committed activists who tirelessly work toward deconstructing every law put into place with the goal of protecting minors, and the goal of protecting parents’ rights. They’ve been to law school, they know the language and how to twist it.
Children and teens hang in the balance - as does the entire legal system we count on to protect them.
A couple of years ago, i took my grandaughter to a library in the PNW, we asked the sweet young librarian for some specific books.
WHILE I WAS NOT LOOKING, she slipped some homosexual topics into the pile we checked out. The child gave them to her mother when we returned home.
Nice.
