With all the loves lost to gun violence.....
I would love if Guns had never come into existence but that's just my feelings
I wish there was no sin in the word and we all got along, but alas, that is not the case.

I enjoy shooting, but I'd be happy to give up the fun to reduce the killing of people.

If our abstinence would only affect criminals. Outlaw guns and they ignore the law. Remove guns and they use vehicles and knives. Outlaw knives and they ignore the law. Remove knives and they use hammers. All the way to Cane and Able who used a rock.

It is not the tool, but the hearts of humans that is the issue. By looking at the tool only, we miss the real issue.

Several of the biggest US attacks were done with bombs ie Oklahoma City, 9/11 and Boston Marathon. Those are completely illegal.

Laws and banning do not change the hearts of sick people.

Remote public schools seem to be changing dynamics, removing attractive targets. Neutralizing anger?

I guess I'm not understanding what is meant by the instructions for the Current Events forum that reads - 'Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.'

My understanding is that this is attempting to get an Anabaptist spiritual perspective on a current event but it seems one can use this forum to talk about whatever we are doing as an Anabaptist ? Seems to me that is what the forum called 'Other' is available for.

Perhaps the Mods can say what the intent is when discussing current events on the 'Current Events' forum ? I certainly may not understand the intent for discussion here correctly.

Does that also mean to say that only Anabaptist people are allowed to post on the Current Events? Doubt it.

According to the guideline, it is worded to invite Anabaptist input. The 'we' is referring to those who consider themselves Anabaptist, right ?

Yet somehow every other modern developed nation on the planet has managed to greatly reduce gun violence and death through regulation of firearms.

Yet the killing continues. Vehicles, knives, IEDs. All kinds of things.
