Will be praying. May His peace envelope you and your family as you move forward. May the Lord give the doctor's wisdom as they look at treatment and you and your family as you make decisions.
As it says in Psalm 73- God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever, the nearness of God is my good.

Re: Prayer request
You know we'll be part of that prayer chorus Wayne. May God's abiding and healing presence be a real comfort to you and Betty as you chart the way forward.

Update on my health
The cancer has spread to multiple organs in my body. It is inoperable and the plan is palliative care - there is no cure. I start chemotherapy next week to slow the spread. I have a year to live, possibly two. The good news is that none of my major organs are damaged at this point and we might be able to stay ahead of that. The doctor says that the cancer will eventually take up all my energy and I will just waste away.
We know that God can be honored by this, either through a miraculous healing (which would be fine by me!) or by the testimony of our faith and endurance through the strength that He gives. I do not plan to spend 12 months dying, rather I plan to spend 12 months living. We are thankful to be given this time as we have friends who were suddenly widowed with no warning and who faced their future completely unprepared. I am blessed with a devoted, loving wife (we will celebrate our 44th anniversary in June) and family; we will make a few more memories and get prepared for my leaving them behind.
Continue to remember me occasionally when you pray.

Will be praying for you. I so appreciate your outlook - to help your family prepare and to live your life until you go home to the Lord. May His peace, rest and presence envelope you and carry you moment by moment

Re: Prayer request
We will continue praying, brother.
I'm glad I got to meet you in person at the first seekers gathering and want you to know that your faith, both then and now, has inspired me. Blessings to you in the year ahead!

Sorry to hear. I appreciate your contributions on this forum. If we don't meet in this life, we will in the next.
