I have seen cm responses to things like perceived Homosexuality. While I was growing up a sibling of a classmate was sent to a special place because he was perceived as "effeminate"
Now this boy had never said "I am gay" but his parents and the cm church viewed him as "effeminate" so he was sent to conversion therapy that was mennonite run.

That person no longer speaks to his family at all.... because of that.

That is how I have seen it dealt with in cm circles.

That sounds like a sad situation. However it isn't the case for every person in CM circles who might be effeminate or gay. I know of a case in a very conservative Mennonite church where a young man admitted he was attracted to men. However his walk with the Lord was very important and he did not act on those attractions. He remained a member of a CM church and lived a productive single life.

Seeking after human law as god has negative repercussions.

One big fail has been the movement from “for the good of the majority” to “minority rule.”

Grace,
Acceptable, or positive situations do not make headlines, they do not end up in courts (where laws are decided).
Folks who are doing ok do not form self-centered political blocs+cults for the purpose of dominating (everything, everyone).

Individuals are real, they must not be denied their humanity. Empathy and grace are necessary.

Political blocs+cults are human CONSTRUCTS, but not human. They are crafted entities that exist for political jousting, power, political protection+privilege, public funds. Now so normalized, they are off-the-charts. Children are openly+pridefully targeted and enlisted as troop/cult members as they innocently attend gov schools.

What began in the 1960’s with THE BEST INTENTIONS, i.e., EXPERIMENTAL attempt to mitigate damage done to descendants of authentic slaves, has grown into a monster of every claimed minority dominating the majority.

Slavery became a dusty footnote, except where deemed useful+exploited for “more” and “evermore.”

There are not enough wise people to facilitate earthly balance/correction. So, the country is hamstrung.
No change on the secular horizon.

Minority status is SOOOO valuable, as minorities become majorities, everything possible is being done to assure they retain minority status/privilege “in the event.”

Fact: (Human-crafted) truth is stranger than fiction.

Good. I think that's really important. Jesus did not shy away from people who struggled with sin. We need to be Jesus to each other.

So the 'Other' forum can be used to talk politics as long as it is not from an Anabaptiist perspective ? Or is it that we just are to ignore the thread 'Bunny Trails' to avoid 'other' political talk ?

Well... the easiest answer is to avoid Bunny trails I guess... Alternatively they could make a new bunny trails for political stuff that doesn't fit in anywhere else...

Or... Change the subject!!!

My wife owes the military a 3d of her bonus :P Its been years trying to pay it back through three different administrations. Who do we even pay it to? and what about the tax mess?
Enlisted in one state, moved to another with transfer eligible for bonus and then moved again. Separated under "distance" discharge as there were no units that would take a new mother unless she waved the non-deployable status... and... gave back the bonus. She got told she didn't owe anything when she separated... but then they changed their minds. Then they said the VA was backlogged... Sigh... it would be nice to pay it someday... hopefully without interest.

That's the "Remember me" check box on the login page. The memory is short term, though, about 3 days; as long as you visit the site at least that often, no need to log in again.
