Is that true? If so, it's a good thing.barnhart wrote:Curiously enough, I have heard vaccine suspicious people admit they are more receptive to this vaccine because the President is behind it.

Current Events - Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address this as Anabaptists
How a brother Anabaptist, currently going through a Covid1-19 recovery, gives his view on how we should address this as an Anabaptist. Sounds very Anabaptist to me. Gave this months prior to getting hit with the disease himself.

Re: Coronavirus Outbreak
Vaccines are rolling out at my wife's clinic network this week here in the Pacific Northwest. For critical staff first, of course, basically anyone who works in or around intensive care units including folks like cleaning staff. My wife is in the cue. Interestingly, she was on a conference call today and they announced that it was voluntary. No medical staff are required to get vaccinated.
I expect that is just the easy way out for now as long as vaccines remain in short supply. Why chase people down and fight with them when you have plenty who want it. In a few months or so when they start having surpluses of vaccines around my wife thinks they might get around to making it mandatory for staff. But not until they run out of people to get it voluntarily.

This afternoon my wife's father's brother died of COVID.
one of Dave's daughters wrote:He is gone. He is whole and free.
David left this earth today just after 2:00 pm ET. His other daughter, Mom and I were with him to witness his transition into his eternal home.
In absolute true Dave format, he left us while I was reading through the book of Revelation (his favorite). Midway through chapter 21, it became evident what his plan was and he did not stray from that plan.
He took his last breath hearing the final words of the Bible being spoken aloud.
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. “
Both the pending holiday season and Covid still raging are impacting any ability to gather. We will plan for a MASSIVE celebration of Dad's life in late spring/early summer.

For our precious father, "As for you, go your way til the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days, you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance." Daniel 12:13
He is whole, he is with his first family, and he is with Jesus for all eternity. We will see him again someday.
Until then, our thanks to our family for your prayer. (names deleted for privacy)

Here are the top 10 most populous nations in the world and their reported COVID numbers. I'm curious how many people here are confident in the accuracy of the numbers out of China, India, and Russia.

Not I. In fact, I'm not sure I have any confidence in any numbers from anywhere, but yeah...mike wrote:I'm curious how many people here are confident in the accuracy of the numbers out of China, India, and Russia.

Re: Coronavirus Outbreak
Anecdotal of course, but I've seen a substantial uptick of people who claim to object to the fetal cell line use in development (not production) and when I ask them if they gave their children MMR they get shocked when I tell them the Rubella was developed on a fetal cell line. These people are looking for excuses in any area they can.
In contrast, those who refused vaccines generally, still object to these ones.

Prayers for the family of your wife's uncle. We have seen several deaths here but they were not COVID related. Re: Coronavirus Outbreak
We know for sure all the numbers from the USA are deaths WITH Covid and not necessarily from Covid - the CDC reports only 6% of deaths are directly from Covid in the USA. I wonder if others countries are defining the FROM and WITH much differently that really make the numbers look different? Because of the inconsistencies in data tracking from country to country the numbers are certainly strange and as time goes on it looks like the USA has either on average a lot more unhealthy populace or exaggerated numbers or both?mike wrote:Here are the top 10 most populous nations in the world and their reported COVID numbers.
