I await to see if all of you Trump haters suddenly start expressing caution about this unsafe, untested, and rushed vaccine. Gonna be a tough one for our folks like Bootstrap and J.M., as the peer reviewed medical consensus is that yep the vaccine is 100% safe, no problems at all, everyone should taken it as soon as possible.

Also gonna be tough for the Trump worshippers who have been sceptical of this vaccine up until now. Will they suspend their adoration of Trump’s every word?
I would have been on a trial, except being on a trial one had to promise not to take any other vaccine for two years. I would not do this, as there would be a 50% chance I would be in the placebo arm. The ethical dilemma this poses is playing out before the FDA as we speak.

Said vaccine is safe, effective and I would be willing to be first in line. In my opinion, some of the theatrics was simply the FDA leadership pushing back on what he perceived as interference. What I have heard is what Was submitted to the FDA would have been sufficient for full approval. Canada did just that.

The delay on the allergy question baffles me, there are people who are allergic to every drug ever created. It should come as no surprise that people are allergic to this one as well. Vaccination sites already have on hand the means of treating there.

Operation Warp Speed is perhaps the shining moment in the Trump presidency.

Another twist, mentioned before, but gaining some traction.

I remember in January, some of my friends saying it was a really bad flu season. I wonder if that was Covid 19 before it was recognized as such. But what made it turn so deadly in Northern Italy and New York? There are many unanswered questions.

J.M.
I think originally in Italy it often manifested with a severe rash as a symptom so that they were testing for measles mostly. So I'm wondering whether the vascular symptoms were more dominant in that strain?
And whether vascular complications have diminished slightly so that certain co-morbidities are no longer as high a risk? I also do not recall the earliest version, if it was indeed Covid, to be marked by a loss of taste and smell?
Certainly the respiratory system was also attacked and in some cases possibly permanently damaged.

When Trump is doing things that are wrong, like blatantly promoting false claims about the election or undermining the medical advice given by his own experts, I will criticize him. When he does things that are right, like Operation Warp Speed, I will praise him. For instance, this is what I said on November 18th, almost a month before you wrote this.
Bootstrap wrote:Operation Warp Speed put resources into developing vaccines that really paid off.
I think these vaccinations are very important. And yes, I am very much guided by the peer-reviewed medical consensus. On vaccinations, and also on face masks.

To me, the ability to look at reliable sources like these, rather than feelings for or against Trump, is one sign that hate is not driving the process. Same holds for sources like the Mueller Report, the Senate Intelligence Committee Report, etc.

Trump doing things like threatening the FDA director to rubber stamp approving the “vaccine” is quite concerning. If Trump is the person who you claim he is, then there is a serious cause for concern about this vaccine not being the things Trump claimed it was Friday night:

- “Very safe”
- Meeting the “gold standard”
- Approved by an “independent” FDA

Not very “independent” if you tell him to either approve the “vaccine” or resign.

I agree.

I don't think so. I think that's what he had planned to say anyway before Trump threatened him. I think that's what medical experts were already saying. Trump's threats were really counterproductive. I trust the scientists and the data they presented.

The fact that 3 other agencies approved it, including the UK. and Canada gives me great confidence.

Moderna is up on Thursday. It is quite similar to AstraZeneca s vaccine.

Also interesting it that the UAE has approved the CanSino attenuated vaccine. Not quite as good as the others, but no slouch. It does not surprise me at all that they could do this, we taught them how.

It’s not that hard to filter out the Trump political influence effect one way or another by looking past him to the scientific method and institutional rigor.
