This week, a bunch of arsonists descended on Lancaster PA to start fires. This was prompted by a police officer shooting a suspect who charged the officer with a knife.

Regardless of your opinions of the police, setting cities on fire isn’t the right way to deal with these problems. Pro-police people aren’t setting fires nor getting arrested for arson. Anti-police people are.

If you live in the intermountain west, likely that would be FLDS. Even one of my friends, from a pentecostal church has made that mistake.

The Mormon girls I grew up with out here in the west all had big hair like Marie Osmond but otherwise looked like everyone else. I've never seen one of those polygamist sect Mormons in real life.

Cept' their cloths are sure to cover their garmies.

I have seen a clutch of them once. Change the hair, and they could sneak into one of our churches unnoticed.

They have that evangelical/homeschooler type of "look".

We actually had an FLDS woman participate in MennoNet once (might have been back when it was MennoDiscuss).

Yeah. Here on the actual west coast all the Mormons are the mainstream type. Big suburban churches with gyms and theaters and such. Off to BYU for college, missionary service, then back with their professional degrees to join mainstream life. I think the FLDS are mostly Utah, Arizona, and Texas and maybe a few scattered in places like CO, OK, and ID.

The plain folk you run into in our neck of the woods here in SW WA are usually Apostolic Lutherans or Old Believer Russians.

Par for the course for antifa type. Protester who was angry about being tear gassed lights a dumpster fire. And gets caught and the fire is put out.

Worst air in the world. Hopefully doesn’t happen again for a long time. Still can’t see far at all. About 2/3 mile. Give me a slight headache.

Here is an account of how the Holiday Farm fire began. One time I was driving in the dark across the mountains, and I too watched a fire start the same way. Tree fell on line near pole, transformer/lines showering sparks until the power pole caught fire.

I understand that CA, OR, and WA have had 5 million acres burned so far.
I'm trying to find a site that compares this with other years the last couple decades.

All the sites I have looked at so far talk about US but not these three states. Is there a term for these three states? Any sites to recommend?

Not the FLDS sect, they look very Mennonite from all the videos/news/pictures I've seen- a Mennonite, could recognize the difference, but not the general public. I've never seen the Evangelical/homeschool type look anything like the FLDS Mormons commonly mistaken for conservative or OO Mennonites- I think they look more like Charity women with the jumpers from their older days- they'd often run into Charity type at homeschool gatherings for literature, seminars etc and may have been influenced by that look- but not the FLDS Mormon ladies
