All right. I'll leave you to your little echo chamber. Let us know when you discover the solution to racism.
I think Wayne is asking us to participate in a thought experiment. If you don't want to participate, that's of course fine. And the thought experiment is not about discovering a solution to racism.
Yes, it's a bunch of (correct me if I'm wrong) conservative white people engaged in a "denial that systemic racism exists" thought experiment. Carry on. I won't interrupt. I won't provide you with any more evidence to the contrary. When you are done, maybe you can do a "CO2 isn't causing climate change" thought experiment too. Or an "earth is flat" thought experiment. You'll find lots of internet support for those notions too.

You are interrupting, in a rude and unproductive way. You are doing exactly and precisely what I asked you not to do.

But you constantly portray people who disagree with Trump, people who believe the results of investigations into Trump's campaign and businesses, or people who doubt his talking points as "haters". I wish you would stop doing that.

And you talk about people you dislike in just exactly the kind of vivid, negative, emotional language that people typically use to talk about people they really hate and really want to tear down. People you don't even know. When talking about topics you don't know much about.
Even in the gratitude thread. I wish you would stop doing that.
temporal1 wrote:as a “do not hate Trumper,” i am aware he is accused of pretty much everything negative that happens, even things that are comically beyond his ability to control, and, his alleged words and actions are used to justify all manner horrible words and actions. i refuse twitter, i recommend refusing it.
I don't think his words and actions justify anyone else to do bad things. But clearly, Trump is responsible for his own words. It's not Twitter's fault. It's not the microphone's fault at his rallies. And this goes way back, long before his presidency. Promoting the false claim that Obama's birth certificate was invalid, for instance. Making up ugly nicknames and vicious lies about each person he wants to tear down, promoting them in rallies, on Twitter, and in right-wing media.

For what it's worth, I don't hang out on Twitter. When I want to know what someone actually said, I usually go back to the source, and for Trump this is often Twitter. He does hang out there, using it in just this way.

When people say Trump is "a fighter", I suspect this is what some of them are talking about. They like it when he does this to people or groups they really dislike.

Let's not be like that here.
i’m not interested in attempting to respond point-by-point.
my guess is, your frequent conflicts on forum circle around poor reading comprehension skills.
it’s my guess from reading over years. only a guess.

clearly you are an intelligent person with certain special gifts. general reading comprehension does not seem to be foremost. :) that’s not a moral judgment. no one has everything.

this part:
But you constantly portray people who disagree with Trump, people who believe the results of investigations into Trump's campaign and businesses, or people who doubt his talking points as "haters".
No. i don’t believe so.
i have repeated my view that “hating Trump” is a requirement of his political opponents.
they leave no room for apathy, tolerance, neutrality, occasional agreement or approval, hate is the specific requirement. Wayne’s recent thread (with funny meme) addresses it.
http://forum.mennonet.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3232
Even in the gratitude thread.
Yes, once again, you decided to play moderator in someone else’s thread, also attempting to reword the OP to your vision.

steve’s thread is not a prayer request thread. he posed HIS observations and questions.
my responses were to him, his OP, his following posted questions. he did not criticize or complain.

after chiding me, you immediately went off on your own bunny trail. he accepted your trail.
i have no quarrel with it. steve’s thread.

steve, the OP, then posted a fascinating description of some of his own experiences. great stuff.
When people say Trump is "a fighter", I suspect this is what some of them are talking about. They like it when he does this to people or groups they really dislike.

Let's not be like that here.
i know of no one on this forum that “likes” any of these awful politicians’ bad behavior.
As Robert might ask, “Do you have any examples?”

your instincts are faulty, reading comprehension questionable, making your suspicions .. not worth a whole lot.

“i would like it” if you would discontinue overuse of plural possessive pronouns.
It’s common. Do you miss a day?-Knowing not all are comfortable with (your overuse)?

In summary, i do not accept you as any description leader in my life. This is not news.
You are not admin or mod, Robert has offered up his role to you .. i don’t believe you accepted.

Please. chill. :-| There is always the “Foe” option. :)

I don't think anyone here wants me to be a moderator or administrator (if they did, we could talk about it, but that would surprise me). And I don't want to be your foe.

But I would love to what you would write about if you simply did not say anything at all about people and groups you dislike or why other people should dislike them. I think these two themes dominate much of what you write, and it really gets old. It makes me suspect this is a big part of what goes on inside you.

What would happen if you simply did not write about these things for a few weeks and focused on other things instead? I bet it would make a big difference in the tone of the forum. And I suspect it might make a difference in your spiritual life and the way you feel.

The gratitude thread is a good one, I'd love to hear what you are grateful for. I'd be interested in hearing about scriptures that speak to you, hearing about your spiritual life, hearing what good things you see in people whose spirituality impresses you.

Looks like the pot (BS) is calling the kettle (T1) black. The pot didn't like how everyone defended Trump when he would criticize Trump yet he was the one who started the most Trump threads. Heed thine own words.

Renouncing violence Re: briar patch

boot.
you picked out a few of my words to start a thread. i wish you wouldn’t have.
the ONE reason i refer to lib violence is in response to SEVERAL of your posts whining about “potential” violence post-election from conservatives.

my point is, conservatives of ANY description would have to go a long way to catch up with violent/destructive real time acting out of libs in the prior 4 years.

quit whining.
open your eyes to the reality of the people you are so trusting to lower your blood pressure.
 they’re awful. plain+simple.

maybe mike can help you:

A boring four years sounds wonderful to me right now.

The most important thing the government could do is decide to actually govern together instead of having a made-for-television fight every day.
For all Biden's calls for unity, I expect he will push for as much of the liberal Democrat agenda as he possibly can. I also expect, after four years of the Democrats investigating and undermining Trump, the Republicans will get to work on Biden.

If he wins, we won't have the crazy Trump tweets.
 We'll be back to the carefully polished political statements that obfuscate, burnish facts, and spin the truth. It's kind of hard to say the latter style is better, in a way.

Still, it will be a bit of a relief that the most powerful man on earth isn't tweeting from the toilet.
Regarding twitter. if no one participated, it would go away.
it’s not hard. i have not read or responded to 1 tweet ever. before or during Trump years.

it takes 2 to tango: own it.

(btw, i don’t agree with mike about “carefully polished.”)
basically, it’s just grade AA double talk, or empty platitudes that say nothing, but sufficient to give a pass to whatever they+their cronies want at the moment. this means 1 of 2 things: higher taxes for legal citizens; erosion of rights for legal citizens.

A president who seriously considers declaring martial law and sending the military to battleground states in order to force them to redo their elections is absurd and ridiculous, but also dangerous to democracy.

Please stop trying to gaslight.

i have no idea what your latest favorite word means, but i doubt it applies to simply trying to see things for what they are. and aren’t.

after watching the Chicago DNC and press “absolutely reject” FOR 4 YEARS a perfectly decent RNC Illinois governor (who also voted WITH the DNC on abortion and other horrible leftist bills) -
the “game plan” for President Trump was 100% predictable: reject him, ruin him, at all costs.

i’m sorry you’ve bought into it. you+millions of others.
the big boys (career politicians) have no conscience when it comes to maintaining control.

i presume your protest means i’m “getting warm.”

i don’t know what gaslighting is, other than some current popular psycho-babble meant to undermine, i doubt it refers to honesty. i’m not sure you know what it means, either.
words like that tend to be misused.

A definition of gaslighting —
Psychologists use the term “gaslighting” to refer to a specific type of manipulation where the manipulator is trying to get someone else (or a group of people) to question their own reality, memory or perceptions. And it’s always a serious problem, according to psychologists.
An example of gaslighting —
Media and partisan politics have deliberately created a ridiculous mess - for their own devices.

Many have bought into it. A form of mass hysteria.
