Sorry but this went over my head. What is there to observe from this?Josh wrote:I had a lot of firearms and ammunition to dispose of at one point in time and found CMC members were good people to sell to. (I would only sell to someone with a valid permit or a licensed firearms dealer.)
What was surprising was that some Beachys also were good people to sell to. One wanted a subcompact firearm but made sure I knew he didn’t want the holster that went with it. (It was a very good quality Crossbreed holster - one of the best you can get.)
Subcompacts are uncomfortable to shoot and not much fun for sporting.

That he wants the weapon to put in his truck or something but won't wear it? I don't know. That's what I got. Is there a distinction between owning a weapon and carrying one during one's day to day business? Perhaps so. I have done the former many times, but never the latter.Ernie wrote:Sorry but this went over my head. Don't feel bad, most of this gun stuff goes over my head as well.Ernie wrote:Sorry but this went over my head. I resonate with these responses, especially the observation that earthly weapons are insufficient and ineffective for Kingdom work. Props to aussieandy for formulating the question.Soloist wrote:1: Maybe... 1. Would Jesus own a firearm?
2. Would Jesus use a firearm?
3. Would Jesus attempt to 'neutralise the threat'?
If you can answer yes to these let me know why?
I honestly can only answer no to these three questions. Therefore, I follow and don't touch firearms.
2: Only on animals if He did. I mean, animals on land aren't better than fish...
3: certainly not with earthly weapons.

There isn't really any reason to get a subcompact firearm unless he planned to carry it, and the holster I offered was a good deal at a low discount. If he wanted the firearm for any other reason, he would have preferred one of the other guns I also wanted to get rid of. (He and I both know we are conservative Mennonites and I said one of the reasons I wanted to sell it as I had no purpose anymore for a handgun which is best suited for concealed carry, but ill suited for sporting use.)Ernie wrote:Sorry but this went over my head.
