In other news, it’s kind of reassuring to see Grace advocating for a liberal-progressive position. She’s usually our resident conservative.

Wasn't there a fad there for a while that ladies were adding silver streaks to their hair? Platinum or something like that?

Lip gloss and Clear nail polish sometimes.

With all the different flavors of Mennoniteism we see, especially here in Lancaster county, every different group/conference/ etc. draws the line at different places. Some allow dying the hair, some not. My point is that the men and women who live in big fancy schmancy homes, go on expensive vacations, drive new SUV's, own one of those spider motorcycles, need to look at the beam at their own eyes before yakking about the mote in someone else's eyes.

Perhaps we could agree that both the beams in our own eyes and the motes in other people's eyes are not good, and we could all exhort each other to not drift towards the world.

one of my rules in ems was this: if you have an elderly lady with dyed hair, she is going to be a blister to take care of.

One of my rules about elderly women is not to make rules about elderly women.
