When I go to church, or visit church people, there is no room for a debate about, for example, the merits of fornication - at least with people who were born and raised in church.
I am surprised there is so much militancy against conservatives having their own forum. Of course, liberals expect to barge in on any place conservatives are and then force changes they want. It is notable that conservatives do not do this to liberals. I don’t barge in to the Lutheran or liberal Mennonite church down the street and start demanding they accept the conservative point of view.
Why do liberals feel like that can do this?
Who are all these liberals who are barging into conservative Mennonite churches down the street and demanding the right to fornicate?
Welcome! Pink Menno started with a very simple vision that two siblings shared during Christmas of 2008. Wondering what they could do to make the Mennonite Church an open and welcoming place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people, they envisioned a sea of people dressed in pink as a sign of support singing hymns together in the middle of the upcoming MC USA convention in Columbus, Ohio.

Are they barging into conservative Mennonite churches?
Or is this an internal MCUSA thing by people who actually grew up in that church?

The executive director of BMC is a Jew who lives in Chicago, and has no anabaptist connections whatsoever, AFAIK

This woman? https://www.bmclgbt.org/post/next-bmc-d ... -announced Again, so what? I don't know anything about her. I'm not part of that world. This is an MCUSA thing. She went to an MCUSA college. MCUSA has chosen to welcome LGBT members. I'm not sure what the issue is. I don't see them pushing their way into conservative or plain churches of the sort that people are talking about here with respect to a "Conservative Forum". There are plenty of conservative Anabaptist groups that exclude LGBT members. This is what freedom of religion looks like. Liberal groups choosing their own path. And conservative groups choosing their own path. It is actually the opposite of your and Josh's point. As a conservative you seem to want to meddle and inject yourself into the affairs of what liberal groups are doing. Which is exactly what you are accusing them of doing.

Ok, but maybe these kinds of comments could stop too?

If those comments should be stopped, does that mean you should stop calling me a bigot, and saying I hate queers?

I don't think that everyone who opposes LGBTQ rights is homophobic. I do think that if someone uses slurs like "trannie," repeats lies that LGBTQ people are more likely to abuse children and demonize people who are still on the margins, they are a homophobe. You're a bigot. You obviously hate queers.
If you want to have a private conversation about this, feel free to DM me, but I’d rather not add to the public drama and acrimony here.

You publicly called a lot of us “obviously hate[ful]”.

How convenient. After you've made really insidious public accusations, we can then have a "private conversation"
