The bold print assists me in following who stated what so that misquotes are avoided. As an experiment try reading through one of those multiple quotes posts on the smallest smart phone screen. You will quickly see enlargement of the print makes it highly difficult to follow the layered quotes.
If all of the layered quotes must be retained for clarity, rather than deleting one or two of the earlier ones, I would suggest using bold while composing and previewing the reply, but removing the bold before actually submitting the post. The persecution (if that's what you call a warning) is for transgressing the forum guidelines, not for being Catholic.Of course we have been through this before. ALL CAPS is considered shouting. Forum members bold the print to highlight. Those highlights are helpful to follow the conversation. Perhaps it is time for others to be less sensitive and more accommodating. That is what discipleship in the Christian faith embraces. Or are you just persecuting the Catholic?

For what it’s worth, I’ve been admonished several times about various things. I have generally not seen it fruitful to then argue about that in the open forum.

Outrage for the sake of outrage doesn't make sense either. Intentionally feeding that outrage so you can go onto the Internet and condemn strangers who think and believe differently than you is fun and it feels good, but it doesn't make sense either.temporal1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:15 pmRemove DaVinci’s painting.Szdfan wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:11 pmOr maybe Jill Biden knows Greek mythology and Western art history and got the references?temporal1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 5:51 pm Parents need to be aware of those leading noisy defense: Jill Biden, most visible, then public school teachers and others that have direct daily contact with students of all ages. Re: briar patch
Valerie,
We see one of the techniques of the radical progressive-liberal extreme left where any concern about the outrageous things they do gets recast as "outrage for the sake of outrage" or "feeding the outrage machine".
You will notice that the liberal-progressive never actually takes any responsibility for what they are doing, nor does the "Christian" liberal ever acknowledge that the things they promote are wrong, whether it be crossdressing, homosexuality, subjecting children to drag shows, "pride", promoting abortion, or all manner of other mortal sins.

This is what I'm talking about. It must feel really good to condemn people like me.Josh wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 7:48 pm Valerie,

Re: briar patch
Wrong. It's grievous to acknowledge we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. It's even more grievous that people are blind to sin, and we pray God opens eyes, and the Holy Spirit draws them. Yet the Word says to not have anything to do with the unfruitful works darkness but rather to "expose" it. How can people repent if we hide the fact that sin is sin.Szdfan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 1:27 amThis is what I'm talking about. Ephesians 5:11-14 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light.

Re: briar patch
I am not the one doing the condemning.
On a personal level, no, it doesn't feel good at all. It doesn't feel good at all to know that some people are so deceived they believe they are doing the "right" thing, but instead are teaching contrary to the scriptures, and thus will incur a stricter judgment. For someone who wants to see everyone celebrating in Jesus' restored kingdom, the thought that some people will be ones who say "Lord, Lord" is not something that feels good at all, but instead makes someone like me feel quite sad instead.
I try not to think about it too often. I hope that speaking prophetically may call one or two to repentance, because Jesus cared very much about the 1 lost sheep.
