1. Are we discussing the topic? Good.
2. Are we going around and around in a fight? Let's stop doing that.
3. Is there some serious wrongdoing or relational injury? Let's address that, probably not in public and certainly not for show.

And it's not always clear to me the translators hustle the punctuation in correctly...
When I was doing translation (in Brazil), I wanted to devise what they call 'standard format markers' so that I could format the Banawa Scripture text in a way that matched the standard Brazilian method. I studied Brazilian Portuguese novels, read grammar books, and consulted with Brazilian teachers. It was frustrating, because there was no consistency, even within a single book (such as a novel). The teachers could not answer my questions, either.

As far as Brazilian Scripture formats go, the old versions (like the Almeida) are set out verse by verse, like the KJV in English. The Linguagem de Hoje (Good News for Modern Man) did it one way, and the Novo Versao Internacional (similar in meaning choices as in the NIV) did it differently, more like English rules. So I set up format markers that covered either format, and then just ran it through a specific change table to convert for printing. (All of the Scripture books we printed were in the LdH format, which uses formatting unlike any book I've ever seen in English, and not like any Brazilian novel I looked at, either.)

It's a difficult task.

It's really hard to reconstruct a Greek sentence like Luke 1:1-4 in English. The two languages are so different.
I tried reading some codices in boustrophedon style once back when I was studying Greek. Boy was that difficult.

Even biblical texts (which thankfully at least all run in the same direction) are basically impossible for me to read:

You have to learn to rely on the breathing marks and so on to identify the starts of the words since there aren't any spaces... if you're lucky. The first line says "ΕΝ ΑΡΧΗ ΗΝ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ ΚΑΙ". The transcriptionist of this decided to make every line the same length, too, which is less than helpful.

Now it's becoming more common, and starting to infest MN.

Even in posts by people who claim to be English teachers and should know better.

"Paragraphs" composed of a single sentence.

Not just an occasional one for emphasis.

All of them.

Repeatedly.

It's painful to read.

I am almost starting to prefer t1's formatting style with one sentence per line and two or three lines per block of text that somewhat resembles a paragraph but really isn't.

Almost.

Dead Internet Theory

Most posts, likes, and interactions on social media are driven by AI. And now many companies are using chatbots for customer service, and unfortunately, many personal and family relationships have become simple WhatsApp or Instagram chats. It's sad, and the only solution I see is to return to the old face-to-face conversations
