It’s interesting how they said to protect privacy they can’t release any information.

… except the information that the deceased were unvaccinated.
It could be argued that information doesn't violate anyone's privacy and is in the public interest.
Interesting. So health records are private… except for vaccinations. Apparently that’s public?
The Strawman of “in that case vaccines need to be administered at birth” is ridiculous. The point of vaccines here is to protect that vulnerable infant from being exposed to people that could have been vaccinated. It’s very sad to me that infants thus exposed may die, be blind for life, or left with other impairments. Many will survive fine, but failure to care for them boggles my mind.

Why invite measles back into the community?

Do you have good information that the people who died are in fact children? Reports I read state that the ages, identities, and specific circumstances have not been publicly released.
There reports out that claim ages of 80’s. Those reports are false. County Commissioners and RFK or putting out bad misinformation.
I haven't seen those reports. My question is how Judas Maccabeus knows they are children. I haven't seen any reports that they were children. Is this information public anywhere? Or maybe he has inside information.
They seem to have been taken down fairly quickly

Please explain to me how a baby dies in childbirth of measles, and why making a claim that a freshly born baby is “unvaccinated” was necessary at all.

Stunts like this do not rebuild trust.

I haven’t seen the news that it was “during childbirth”. For the other comments I’d refer you to my prior comment that it’s very difficult to trust any words from a politician in an election year.

So, were there actually deaths from measles or not? The coroner says there was not. Unless you’re claiming the county level official is some kind of liar.

At a certain level, you’re going to face difficulty if you tell us we can’t trust the CDC, NIH, federal government, county level coroner / medical examiner, county level officials, and so forth.

On Tuesday, Diamantoni pointed out that there could be several reasons for the difference between the state's and the coroner office's data. First, the coroner may not yet have received information about the "measles-associated" deaths. Second, it could be that patients who were severely sick may have been treated at a specialized facility outside of the county. A death in such a case would be handled by that county's coroner.
The coroner is also an elected official, although his term is not up until next year, so it might be slightly less difficult to trust his words this year.

Presumably, the coroner knows about deaths before the state does, since the coroner reports them to the state.

I’m not sure what Gov. Shapiro is aiming for here. This isn’t rebuilding trust at all. It almost feels like some kind of revenge for PA having the audacity to elect the person Gov. Shapiro wasn’t campaigning for. (Apologies for politics in a non-politics subforum, but this is a political topic.)

Going to war with a local health department doesn’t make sense either. And reporting a baby who died during birth as “unvaccinated”, whilst technically true, is very, very misleading.

No. Infectious disease events are integrated with the states Epidemiology department who are required by law to track, alert, and work to mitigate the outbreak. So, the state will get the information earlier, or simultaneously as the coroner.

Party ties and tribal pull is very strong, so I’m not sure.
