Re: MennoNet and Genealogy

Many people who descend from 18th century Mennonite or Amish immigrants to PA are seventh cousins or closer. Sunbeam and I are sixth cousins. Mike and I are fourth cousins once removed, fifth cousins once removed, fifth cousins twice removed, and sixth cousins once removed, depending on which branch...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?

This thread is about single parent families. Don't try to define the content of someone else's thread with statements like "what we are talking about is..." I am staying on topic. The topic as you define it, or the topic as Josh, the OP, defines it? It's obvious to the casual observer tha...

Re: Mennonite Girl ,3, swept over waterfalls,2 years ago, parents now charged

The notion was that it's their own child and they've already suffered a great deal because of that. I really do not understand how some people can't see this... So if I kill someone else's child but I feel really really REALLY bad about it then I should be get off the hook because I'm suffering too...

Re: Should negligent parents be punished by the law?

In addition to locking up teenage girls who get pregnant (what you proposed in the subject of this thread), what other ideas do you have for solving this problem? https://www.artsjournal.com/engage/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/StrawMan.jpg Josh says nothing about the age of the unwed parents, and doe...

And I am agreeing with you.
