Does your Anabaptist church have any official regulations, recommendations, or teaching regarding shoes, whether those worn to church, or elsewhere? If so, are there any reasons given other than tradition?

My church requires shoes worn to church to be black. Sandals and flip-flops aren't allowed in public. I'm not sure if there are other rules, possibly no white shoes are allowed (unsure on that).

Thanks... my time on the forum has been limited the last several days. Glad to see people keeping the dream alive!
To the question at hand.... I was never part of a church that had anything in writing, but I remember a lot of unwritten standards as well as stuff preached on. And I remember the gossip sharing of concerns if someone veered to the wayside

One church the sock/hose thing was changed after people stopped complying.
Thankfully no one complains about our heels.

I'm trying to understand the reason for objecting to sandals

For some it is considered worldly. For others it is considered immodest. I think the latter came from Victorian influenced culture and not from Mediterranean culture.
