A key part of Christianity and Anabaptism is the importance of the family unit, defined as a married couple - a man and a woman - with children. The family is necessary by God’s explicit design.
America seems to think otherwise and leads the world in single parent homes:
There isn’t much of a future for a nation that goes against the most basic precepts God has given to man.
America leads the world in single parent homes.

This doesn't shock me. Our country has too casual of an attitude towards marriage.

but then expands from there.
With other areas of modernity such as “marriage”, the level of state involvement has gradually increased over time,
until the state is redefining what it is.
There is no reason to think the state will not do the same and eventually claim jurisdiction over the Bible, too.

From the map it looks like Christianity is pretty much the worst faith environment in which to foster 2-parent families. Pretty much every part of the non-Christian world including the atheist world does better.
You can see the same pattern within the United States itself. The Bible Belt where church attendance is the highest, and the highest percentage of the population identifies as Christian also has the highest rates of single parent homes. There are a lot of different maps out there examining this topic, but they all pretty much show the same pattern.

We can rightly blame modernity here and Bolshevik Communism, whose legacy we see in the former USSR, but also in rapidly modernising countries like Kenya.MaxPC wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 10:45 amA nation that loses its focus upon God and His Commandments will fail.Josh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:44 am A key part of Christianity and Anabaptism is the importance of the family unit, defined as a married couple - a man and a woman - with children. We pray for Africa as many of the most Biblically faithful Christian leaders hail from that continent. Those bishops consistently vote for Biblical marriage and Biblical fidelity within their respective denominations.Josh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:01 amWe can rightly blame modernity here and Bolshevik Communism, whose legacy we see in the former USSR, but also in rapidly modernising countries like Kenya.MaxPC wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 10:45 amA nation that loses its focus upon God and His Commandments will fail.Josh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:44 am A key part of Christianity and Anabaptism is the importance of the family unit, defined as a married couple - a man and a woman - with children. Vietnam, China, India, and Korea are all modernizing much faster than Kenya
And China is far more communist than Russia, as is Vietnam.

Hmmm. I guess it makes sense. Polygamy should, mathematically, help reduce single mothers.Ken wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 10:37 am From the map it looks like Christianity is pretty much the worst faith environment in which to foster 2-parent families.
