For the Ladies, as promised! Make MN great again! Part 2

Post by steve-in-kville »

For the ladies. To be fair, guys can vote for their wives or lady friends, but I highly encourage the registered women here on MN to speak up.

By formal attire, I mean what you would wear when you leave the house. Vote and discuss.

Why just one option allowed? To my wife, a skirt and blouse or a dress are about equally formal.

I debated how to roll on this one. I guess vote for what is most frequently worn and comment on the other.

Not much difference between my formal dresses and my non formal dresses. I make my dresses and when they start looking well used, I wear them for every day around the house and for yard work.

My wife took to wearing lengthy denim skirts and button up blouses and wonders why she didn't sooner. Buying material, stressing over whether the material pattern is "legal", having her sister sew up a dress, making sure it fits right, having it altered if it doesn't... it was a lot of stress over a dress.

Good to know she found her niche in clothing. I realize not everyone likes to sew and sewing can be stressful for some.

I think she likes to sew. It was a time factor. The last few years she had her sister do all her sewing.

When the children were younger I didn't sew much either, time being the factor. Add to that, constant interruptions.
