Goodbye DrWoJo

Post by ragpicker »

DrWoJo passed away a couple of days ago. I don’t know the exact cause of death, but I do know it was very unfortunate circumstances. I hope we can keep the conversation respectful for his family‘s sake.

That is truly sad. Him and I knew a bunch of the same people and had some interesting conversations off the forums. May God be with his family.

 That is a shock! I don’t know him in real life. But I was just thinking of him last night. Noticed he hadn’t written here for a while.
So sorry to hear.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

o.no. :(

his intro post:
DrWojo:
I’m a fellow traveler unworthy of the Grace God has shown me.
My desire is to glorify God while hiding behind the cross of Him Who reveals Himself to me.

.. gratitude for memories .. prayers for his loved ones ..

I am so sorry & shocked.
He had pmd me advice one time regarding my pain (back, feet)issues some time ago. I appreciated him & his thoughts, what he shared.

Memory eternal, try sorry, even realizing he's in the presence of the Lord

I never knew him very well personally but I wrote his paycheck in the early 90's when he taught at a school of which I was the treasurer.

I really enjoyed his posts here but I otherwise knew absolutely nothing about him in "real life". That's becoming more bothersome to me right now - how many of my relationships are mediated through communications technology on a keyboard ans LED screen instead of in the flesh. I'm trying to do something about that by at least using the telephone ("It won't suck your brains out through the hand set!" we used to tell our children!). When we move to Pennsylvanian we hope to have more face-to-face relationships.

I'll just have to wait until I'm on "the other side" I guess to chat with Dr WoJo and ask why he chose that name. WoJo was a character on the television series "Barney Miller" he was a stereotypical "Dumb Polack" and I often wanted to give that nickname to my son (my wife's ethnically Polish) in his goofier moments.

Good night Woj.
