I'm for building up the immune system, and supplements and plenty of sun all over one's body are part of that.

However, I would suggest doing this in addition to the distance and masking recommendations, not doing it instead.
I agree, but not sure about the sun all over one's body....not sure what the neighbors would say about that.

If you want to criticize social distancing and/or masking as not being scientifically supported, then you REALLY REALLY have to criticize the notion that taking supplements boosts your immune system and wards off viruses. There really isn't scientific support for the notion that supplements boost immune systems. At least beyond simple good nutrition and making sure you don't have vitamin and mineral deficiencies. For example: https://www.health.com/nutrition/vitami ... upplements or https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Immun ... fessional/

So if you want to criticize Fauci and the CDC for the 6 ft rule and masking then you REALLY REALLY have to criticize the unregulated supplements industry as not being scientifically supported.
LOL...and those who criticize supplements as a method to boost the immune system, are the same ones who supported the notion (lie) that an experimental vaccine will prevent someone from getting Covid.

A vaccine that made companies filthy rich. Probably far richer than many supplemental companies.

Who can forget the President speaking a curse on those who didn't take the shot and pronouncing that, for the unvaccinated, there will be a winter of severe illness and death.

How many times did the vaccinated and boosted to the hilt, President, have Covid? I am sure more times than Valerie, who chose to take supplements and didn't get the vaccine.
Every vaccinated person in my family for COVID +my daughter, 3x! Vax did not prevent) except my mom who is pretty isolated most of the time & my paranoid 26 yr old niece who isolates STILL (she lives in England) it's even cost her a wonderful Christian man she was to marry but her controlling paranoia (thanks to who,?) the family is worried about her fear.

I will say, the 2x I got it I'm sure could have been prevented, both times I had got lax on my supplements and that's the honest truth- we were past cold & flu season so I often left for work without supplementing, which convinced me even more of their effectiveness.

My dear friend is surrounded by sickly vaxxed people at work she believes to be "shedding" so since they still get COVID though vaxxed, she gets exposed, ups her supplements & never gets sick even if she *starts" getting symptoms she knocks them dead quick. She's the one who could have died from an antibiotic 6 years ago that was blackboxed but still being prescribed. That instance sent her family on a journey for natural methods. AND IT WORKS more than her vaxxed coworkers!!!

I take a multivitamin every day and drink a lot of unsweet tea. I think both help keep my very strong immune system tuned. My son finally admitted that when he skips his daily vitamin, he gets sick more often too.

My wife takes some, but gets every bug going around. So it is not a cure all, but it does help and does not hurt.

Right. I have a private gardening spot. You might be able to use privacy screens to sun.

The last several years have been exceptionally healthy for me. Since the beginning of 2020, the worst illness I have contracted is a sore throat that lasted a week.

All I am pointing out is that none of these statements are based on actual science. In fact, if we held the natural supplements industry to the SAME scientific standards that we apply to vaccines then no supplements with the possible exception of Vitamin C would pass muster. In fact, if we look at the article that Grace posted in favor of supplements we find the following:
Many people are taking one or a combination of supplements to prevent or treat COVID-19.

But there is not enough data to support the use of any vitamin, herb, or other supplement to treat or prevent this illness.

Only vaccines, together with strict hygiene measures, are proven to help prevent COVID-19. For severe cases of COVID-19, doctors may use specific medications.
And what does one find when one follows the article link to what they are calling "strict hygiene measures?" Well, here is the linkc:
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articl ... prevention Imagine that, there are recommendations for hand washing, masking, sanitizing, and social distancing including the 6 ft. recommendation.

Josh wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 7:36 amI haven’t heard a peep about Covid from any medical providers in the last year and a half. And that includes myself getting a surgery late last year, and my wife’s cousin being treated for cancer over the last 2 years. They don’t even bother with screening for it in pre surgical evaluation anymore. They’re more concerned about flus.
Maybe they SHOULD be more concerned about COVID than the flue. This is data from last week: https://www.ahcancal.org/News-and-Commu ... Worse.aspx

Now this article and these data are focused on the elderly who are at greatest risk from both COVID and the flu. But the same patterns are applicable to all ages if you step back and look at the all-ages data on the CDC web site.

I’m going to assume the experts at the Cleveland Clinic know what they’re doing.

I’m also going to assume my M.D. who ordered lab tests and then prescribed Vitamin D2 knows what she’s doing.
