It's a pretty cool trick to post here without using the internet.

Because as a seeker, it is one more step towards complete removal of the internet from my life. My particular sect of Christianity tries to be radical non-conformists with the trends of the world. This includes, not actually using the internet. I'm not perfect. It takes time moving from an NMB to a full conversion Nationwide style.

Thats why Nationwide people generally never have a voice on places like this. Mennonet does not represent the ultra conservatives at all.

Ken I think you really don't want to be taken seriously otherwise you'd be a little more understanding of different places people take on their journey to the Kingdom.

ABC, what would you tell someone who was struggling with pornography? Surely you wouldn't just say he has no chance of redemption if he used a filter to help block his weakness.
What about the alcoholic avoiding liquor stores?

What is your response to the weaker brother who stumbles when we eat idol meat?

Relax, it's just a little light-hearted teasing.

But then maybe you are right. I don't view visiting places like Mennonet as "stumbling" but rather a place where people find community. I think I am reasonably understanding of more conservative religious perspectives. I have ultraconservative relatives and even some who are Amish. I find though, that my attempts at understanding tend not to be reciprocated.

I did the whole seeker-to-perfection thing and dipped deep into the depths of radical Anabaptism. I'm old and tired now and have more questions than answers.
Maybe Andy's idea of perfection is different than yours?
It sounds like "seeker-to-perfection" is different than having a heart after Christ and not being partial in our love like Christ calls us to in the sermon on the mount when He tells us to be perfect.
I would expect utter disillusionment when one is seeking perfection. Ultra's aren't "perfection" and are easily misunderstood and confused with old orders, Amish and other things too.

And - as far as the list of choices in the poll goes - I don't see any options that are conservative.
